swaterfall Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 Spring in the cascades freakin ownz.  true  I skiied fresh off St Helens last Sat. Spring Cascades owns huge. Quote
mattp Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 Spring in the Cascades definitely rocks, but very often the new snow is exactly what you don't want. Because the temperatures are warmer in the spring and the sun more intense than in mid-winter, powder doesn't stay nice very long. If you get more than a few inches, the stuff threatens to turn what was yesterday's corn run into some horrendous gloppy mess or crusty combat skiing or brand new avlanche debris. Â I had some nice turns on new snow last weekend, though. Quote
iain Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 shibby freshiez sessions to be had in da hood word is bond w00t w00t Quote
Redoubt Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 Jon and Timmy, You know those websites that translate English to Jive? How about adding a translator here to get from cc.com to English? That would be really .... well, plab (I think). Quote
gapertimmy Posted April 20, 2004 Author Posted April 20, 2004 scuze me, could someone pass the stoke? Quote
iain Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 that last picture has nothing to do with freshies but I thought it was hilarious (from j_b's piggy link) Quote
gapertimmy Posted April 21, 2004 Author Posted April 21, 2004 THE LOVE FROM ABOVE OVERFLOWETH. Â took the day off today to play with like minded fooz on bachy, and it was just simply epic 6-9" depending on the drifts, light face sh0tz to be had all over the place. charged right in got 3rd chair, so dope, nothing like the locals all skipping work for one last powder day, everyone was hyped, the snow was fantastic and everyone was hollain' atcha boyz. Â stoke! Quote
