scott_harpell Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 mowich face in june? August works better for me. Quote
girlclimber Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 i've never climbed the Mowich Face, but August seems like one of the worst times to go. it would be really melted out by then, with lots of rockfall because of high temps. and crossing the glacier to get to the base of the face would be a PITA. RobBob Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 (Bug said) Maybe we should dress up like our least favorite avatars and take pictures of each other shitting in crevasses. Good idea. I'll pretend to be Jim or JoshK, and drive up to Paradise in a Ford Excursion. I'm planning to arrive a few days early anyhow in order to acclimatize a little...so I'll do a couple of firewood carries to Muir, so we can build a roaring campfire. You'll recognize my disguise with the "I Halliburton" teeshirt. Quote

No joke: I ran into a couple guys hiking up Mount St. Helens one summer (around labor day) and they had a bunch of wood strapped to the frame of their packs. They also had a boombox. Their goal was to build a fire and listen to Ozzy on the crater rim. Quote
archenemy Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 How stupid. Everyone knows Samael is far better rim-listening metal. Quote
Ducknut Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 How stupid. Everyone knows Samael is far better rim-listening metal. I can just imagine how Trask would have altered this quote. Some days I think we all miss that beotch. Quote
catbirdseat Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 Well, trask's latest incarnation went missing today, thus it appears he's off visiting bannedkamp at the moment. Quote
