If you can handle skiing in an area that hasn't been featured in Powder mag check out Shames Mountain. You can get a 1 ride ticked for $9 or $10 Canadian, and if you hang with the locals you can get set up with the ski patrol shack and have heated lodging with a kitchen for another $10 Canadian. The down side is you've gotta get to Terrace BC which isn't as beautiful as Telluride, but the ski area kicks butt. Quote
