might be a candidate for a climb that could use its own set of TR chains. Not because of the rating questions, but because it's a good climb that could use some TR chains. This is a good place to debate this suggestion.

I don't think it needs seperate chains. In fact I had no trouble top-roping this line on the big chains on top of the Tower, just use a long runner. If it's to hard on the rope...then don't.

I saw the new two bolt anchor on the otherside, above the 5.9 offwidth corner...this is stupid as well...

Just my opinion...

Yeah, I don't think it needs it's own chains, either, the TR is fine with a cordolette. It's pumpy down low, and as Mat says, your hanging on your arms to place gear, and it's a bit of a blind placement, as you traverse in from the left to the crack. Definitely not a beginner 5.8 lead...

I fell off the crux of this thing before. I cannot remember who was belaying but I want to say it might have been Charlie GregW or Dan Hughes on belay.

My gear held fine but it was precisely placed in what I thought was the best manner. It held.

Also I know Dan fell off it once before and was held as well.

Fun stuff for drunkards as long as nobody is hurt. bigdrink.gif
