We attempted the Hotlum-Bollum...got rained off the peak, but the route looked in good shape, we could see some icy sections from below. ridehikeclimbski Posted August 13, 2003 Share Posted August 13, 2003 I was up Clear Creek last weekend , its mostly scree except on the Watkins Glacier from 9500 to 11000 ft . We didnt summit due to high winds , approximately 70 or 80 mph . What an experience watching clouds below sail by quickly at 13400 ft .
