gapertimmy Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Getting laid off for a month each year is so not suck! Well, I'll be in yose for the first week or so, but plan on being up in Washington before Aug 9 weekend, and have at least 2 weeks (wife permitting of course) to get plab up in thoze parts. I'm hoping to be in the out of doors the whole time, wrekreatin all over the fine state of washington. I have some objectives in mind (keeping in mind i'm a pussy and don't climb that hard) but am open and willing to check out just about anything (don't get any ideas trask). SO, if you have some time off in the first half of august and would like to go get majikal, pm me and lemme know what you'd like to get into. My shortlist of things i'd like to do are some death marches like challenger and dome peak, and olympus in a day like thoze sick fooz. timmy Quote
gapertimmy Posted July 7, 2003 Author Posted July 7, 2003 you know it beyotch! i plan on going to squammish too and dropping brown coils on you from great heights. Quote
mattp Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Dude! It's the middle of the summer. Skip Yosemite and head for the Bugaboos! There are spectacular climbs there, starting at 5.4, and you won't fry. The weather tends to be poor, so its a good idea to plan to spend a week or ten days there and take a couple of good books -- but the hut is great. Just don't forget the chicken wire to keep the porcupines away from your car. Quote
Off_White Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Well, its not a month off, but I'm headed to Tuoloumne for the next week, yippee. If any of ya'll wind up down there, I'll be in the two tone brown Vanagon that looks like it's been snacking on deer, staying in the group camp, so come say hi. Yeah, I'm outta here. Quote
gapertimmy Posted July 7, 2003 Author Posted July 7, 2003 we're actually going to tuolumne as well. i have some friends that are working in the park again this summer so its a dual purpose visit and my folks are gonna watch the dogs so i gotta go for it. Quote
