iain Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 nice find, but now it's entered in my web address auto-complete. This will come back to haunt me, I'm sure of it. Quote

ExtremoMtDude Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 LOL!!! What a riot, sorry to say that I can't take credit for the founding of the snowboyz, but if you do look good and can rip it up in a one piece, have at it. Quote
iain Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 it is an image from a web cam of mt hood. It has telemetry data from 6000' (TLINE) and 7000' (MMILE). It shows current temperature, min, average and max wind speeds for the last hour, relative humidity, and precip in water equiv. inches. It is updated hourly from a script on a webserver here which collects the info and sticks it in a database. If you click on it, it will show you the current body count in Iraq. Quote
EWolfe Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 Cool! I thought it was acceleration rates of a very slow car - definitely not Icy Hot Stuntaz... Quote
iain Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 yeah I get a lot of crap about not thinking outside of mt hood area, but it's a good barometer of what's happening throughout the range, at least in the oregon/ s. washington area. Quote
Ducknut Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 Timberline ripped up the south side climbers track and a bunch of fun cornices to build the Superpark. They were real azzez about it too. The cat drivers tried to tell us climbers that we couldn't walk through there. I said "kiss my azz and oh by the way I think I'll ask the Forest Service if you are outside of the approved resort boundaries. " Quote
iain Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 haven't been up there recently but looked like they had a huge area corded off for that thing. they make a killing in summer. summer pass is around $900. Quote
JoshK Posted May 22, 2003 Author Posted May 22, 2003 So what are the regulations on that? Can you walk through wherever you want when climbing up the south side? If that is the case, I'll do it just to piss of the cat drivers. Quote
