Interesting article. I've been severely reducing my beef consumption the past couple years with the goal of weaning myself from it completely. I'm down to about one serving per week or less. The Mad Cow scare was a big factor in this decision. I rarely eat wild game, but anecdotal connections like this sure make me wonder.

the only good thing i got out a that article was a new route name "spongiform'.

anybody else ever notice that elk are dummer an shit around trucks on the road? a deer will run off the road, but a elk will run across the road. unpredictable, they are.

Sorry if I was vague, but it wasn't an anti-meat or anti-hunter post, just some information for those that hunt. I used to hunt but don't now, for no particular reason. If you hunt you would be wise to follow some of the recent guidlines for keeping nerve tissue (specifically brain and spinal cord) away from the meat. Most of the time hunters skilled in dressing do this anyway, but Montana and Wyoming game departments have put out special guidlines just in case. Haven't seen such in WA or OR.
