catbirdseat Posted April 5, 2003 Posted April 5, 2003 JGowans led Bottoms Up, 5.7 on Write-Off Wall at Exit 38. This was his first lead climb and he did just fine. Let's raise a glass to the laddie . May this be the beginning of great things to come. BTW, he attempted a 5.9 lead that he ALMOST pulled off. Not bad considering he'd only ever toproped 5.8. He nailed it on top rope. We were the only ones there. It was sprinkling when we arrived, but Jason said, "oh, let's just go check it out". The rain stopped as we hit the trail. The rock dried out as we roped up and the rain held off until we were finished. It let loose on our way to the bar. Quote

Peter_Puget Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 How much snow is at the higher elevation crags? I am thinking Bob's and higher. Quote
catbirdseat Posted April 6, 2003 Author Posted April 6, 2003 I'm not sure, but it looked like the snow level was pretty low. There could well be snow at the Bobs. Quote
