PP, Ruger makes some quality weapons. Personally I like 45 semi auto, but a .357 revolver is a great side arm, especially in ss. The great part about a rev. compared to a semi auto there is no question about it being ready to fire or not. Thanks for the concern of my welfare in the BC(oh, better qualify that so its not misunderstood and I have the Mounties on my ass looking for iron in Canada. BC for me = backcountry)

I honestly can say I've never worried about getting mugged in the backcountry. Notice, it said, "Which Guns (plural) do you carry when you go climbing? Oh, let's see, should I take an extra No. 4 Camalot or that second pistol? Yep, better take the pistol instead.

I own a Kel-Tec P-11. I do agree though, bringing a gun into the back-country is pretty lame. I've spent a lot of time in the hills, and have never seen a single Samoan- so what would you need a firearm for?
