Peter_Puget Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 Faced with the choice between Go Dog Go! and Time's Up which would you choose for an afternoon of fun? PP Quote

Fejas Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 The good thing about our time system is that it is 4:20 once an hour some where in the world, so why not celibrate... Quote

PP Go Dog is more of a fun times type of route, but is also way easier than Time's Up. The Doctor has only been on Time's Up once, several years back, and while it was great, it was also mercilessly sustained and technical. Go Dog is no giveaway, though, and is a bit harder than the rating in the guidebook might suggest! Quote
catbirdseat Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Erik, if only I had made the trip to Smith with you I wouldn't have had to ask. I'd be "with it", oops, that's dated. I'd be "hip", oops that's dated too. Oh, well, call me a square, oops, dated. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Come now, catbird, you're as hep as the next cat! Quote
catbirdseat Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Distel, I'd be ecstatic if I could climb 10c. Quote
RuMR Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Time's up is an amazing route! Go-dog-go is good, but Time's up is excellent and won't be a great warm weather route...i'd do it now while its cold!!! Quote
TimL Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003 DFA or anyone that knows. Can you run together the last 2 pitches on White Satin with a 60? Seems like it would be a nice ling pitch up the dihedral! Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003 White Satin? That's a trad route, right? Quote
erik Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003 Dr_Flash_Amazing said: White Satin? That's a trad route, right? dfa you should join us on it!!! you can spew beta for chain!!! to all below us!!! Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003 Should the Doctor bring his 1000 watt bullhorn, or do you s'pose the natural acoustix of the dihedral will provide enough amplification? * squawk of heinous feedback* "ATTENTION SMITH ROCK CITIZENS! THIS IS DR. FLASH AMAZING SPEAKING!" * cheers, applause * "HERE NOW IS THE BETA FOR 'CHAIN REACTION'!" * notepads come out, a hush falls over the park * "FROM THE FIRST BOLT, LEFT HAND UP TO THE JUG, FEET UP, RIGHT HAND TO THE ARETE ... (etc. etc. etc.)" * everyone offers to buy DFA beer and enchiladas * Quote
erik Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003 so dfa does that mean we will meet you tommorow for some fun??? ill even buy you your beer!! and your old lady and i wont hit on her!!! Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003 Nope, gotta stay home and charge the batteries for the bullhorn. Maybe next weekend, though. And you can harrass Mrs. DFA at your own risk, but you're liable to wind up with smashed 'nads, a busted windpipe, and bloodied eyeballs. She don't fuck around! Quote
erik Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003 cool i'll be there next weekend too! and i wouldnt tread where you did....trask told me all about it!!! ewwwwww!!! Quote
