Permit to summit mt Adams

I’ll be visiting Washington state for the first time in the beginning of September for 2 weeks. Mt adams is at the top of my mountain list to hit. How difficult is it to get a permit to summit it in September? Is there a limited number per day?

I just got the permit to climb Mt Adams and it seems very flexible and easy. We are looking to do it May 5-7 so maybe it was easy because this is not a very popular time to climb it.

Are you talking about that goofy "Volcano Pass?" I've never heard of any permit needed to climb Mt Adams.

Looks like you have to buy something to climb Adams now?  I didn't know this.

yep, there is a fee.  I guess it pays for the fantastic road conditions and TH accommodations

Ugh, yet another junk fee that goes mostly to Booz Allen Hamilton.  Clearly the only option is to run up and down Adams as fast as possible. 😉
