Dtadd94 Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 I’ll be visiting Washington state for the first time in the beginning of September for 2 weeks. Mt adams is at the top of my mountain list to hit. How difficult is it to get a permit to summit it in September? Is there a limited number per day? Quote
ProfessorAlpenGlow Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 I just got the permit to climb Mt Adams and it seems very flexible and easy. We are looking to do it May 5-7 so maybe it was easy because this is not a very popular time to climb it. Quote
Fairweather Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Are you talking about that goofy "Volcano Pass?" I've never heard of any permit needed to climb Mt Adams. Quote

KaskadskyjKozak Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 yep, there is a fee. I guess it pays for the fantastic road conditions and TH accommodations Quote
seano- Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 Ugh, yet another junk fee that goes mostly to Booz Allen Hamilton. Clearly the only option is to run up and down Adams as fast as possible. 😉 1 1 Quote
Fairweather Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 I'd say some civil disobedience is in order here. Quote
