  1. $120 (shipped). New with tags - Julbo Glacier Glasses, Explorer 2.0. Color: Dark blue with Polarized REACTIV Cameleon High Mountain 2-4 lenses (photochromatic, adjust to light, 5%-20% visible light transmission). Side lens shades removable. They were too big for my wife and unable to return.
  2. Hello, a friend and I would like to climb Mount Hood. We have experience climbing snowy peaks in crampons and ice axe but not glaciated peaks. I have read the pertinent chapters in “Mountaineering: The freedom of the Hills” and have purchased the relevant gear (harness, prusiks, pulley, snow picket). I believe I understand the techniques of crevasse rescue but was hoping to find someone who could take a few hours to give me feedback on my crevasse rescue technique. I would greatly appreciate if someone had a few hours to give me feedback? I am able to drive anywhere in the cascades to meet you.
  3. Selling a 65cm Black Diamond Raven ice axe for $50. It has some scuffing lower down and almost no wear on the head. Includes covers and leash. I can meet in the greater Seattle/Bellevue area and out I-90 a bit. Shipping is an option but I'd add that to the price of the axe.
  4. Hey All! Looking for climbing partners for mid-week climbs. I'm free most Mondays to Wednesdays with the occasional Thursday off as well. Open to climb almost anything!
  5. Looking for climbing partner for June 24-26 for Rainier, Baker, Shuksan, or Mt. Olympus. Previous glacier experience required. I have x2 snow pickets, 3P tent, 40m dry rope, ice screw. I do NOT have a car. Send me a text if you're interested. 305-608-4006.
  6. Anyone been up the NE buttress recently who can comment on the condition of the glacier? Mostly interested in the moat situation to get onto the ridge.
  7. Never used Eldrid Loopo Light Harness, Size Large. Includes stuff sack and tags. Great for ski mountaineering and fast/light alpine climbing. It's supposed to be the lightest harness on the market and is nearly 1/2 the weight of the Petzl Altitude.Specs:Size Large Waist 37.4 - 41.3in (95 - 105cm) Leg Loops 24.4 - 26.4in (62 - 67cm) Weight: 82 Grams!Local, cash only sale.
  8. Want to do either Mt. Baker North Ridge overnight, or Mt. Hood Reid Glacier Headwall on 5/27 car-to-car. I hope to get a partner for either climb. I'm happy to repeat Mt. Hood pearly gates route if I get 1 or Max 3 for this alternate option. I'm leading any option.
  9. My climbing partner just cancelled because of a dislocated shoulder injury, and I have already booked my flights to Seattle for 8 days. I am a fairly experienced mountaineer, having done Aconcagua, Elbrus, Mont Blanc and Kilimanjaro in the past (without guide). After this week in Seattle I will fly to Anchorage to attempt Denali. However, I do not like the idea of doing the glacier travel on Rainier solo, so I would love someone to rope up with. I am a 22 year old Norwegian, and are currently studying for a Master of Science at MIT in Boston. I have all the gear necessary except tent, but I might be able to borrow this in Seattle. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions! tlf: 617 710 9297 Facebook: Thomas Lone Email: thomasel@mit.eduClimb on!Thomas
