    Housing Bubble?

Depends on the rate, doesn't it. There aren't many people who are betting interest rates will go down

    Car suggestions

TurboDiesel VW's are cool, the do command a premium, unless you are careful. The recent mexican built Vw's(Jetta) aren't as good as the Germans. Honda's are cheap to own and run. As are toyotas. For that much $ my grandmother will shortly(couple months) have an '01 Dodge Intrepid for sale. Garaged, well maintained, 20k or similarly stupidly low miles. Just west of you in 'tonka.
  5. "We hit 60 mph in 7.7 seconds, just as Audi predicts for European Allroads. If its guesses at performance for the lighter U.S. version are as trustworthy, that will drop to 7.3 seconds with Tiptronic and 6.8 seconds with the six-speed." C & D. Only the Allroad has pneumatic suspensions, only the Allroad has clearance. I've driven a Mercedes with 300k, and 2 Hondas to 160k. Yes the Benz was nicer to drive faster. $6k repair jobs suck, and every single repair, plus regular maintenace is more expensive. Not to mention insurance, not to mention how much premium gas blows. As for 100+ regularly, whatever But as you said, different $ for different folks. I prefer to talk the several $k a year difference and travel.
  6. I had a shared bunkroom with 16 other people. That's not quite my scene.
  7. Not a cruise as such, but a ferry ride. The Navimag up the coast of Chile. Standard experience from what I understand. You eat, you alot, unless you have a private room and a honey, then you
  8. 5.9? Haha. C&D says 7.7. Any good german car does 100. As for repairs, it's a turbocharged sports car with pneumatic suspension. The question isn't if, but when the big ass bill is going to hit. 5 years is new in it's life. Hope you enjoyed the $40k sticker.
  9. They aren't that fast, they don't have that great clearance, and the repair bills suck. Of course if they are under warranty that's a different matter.
  10. Pourquoi ? Vous êtes français !
  11. Audi's are kitted up VW's. They've all the problems of a VW with a higher sticker price.
  12. You a lesbian?
  13. I like my Betalight. Have used it in snow as well, w/floor. Plenty big inside for 2 people.
  14. aka the Audi A4 MB E320 4matic
  15. Mazamas library And since they were the publisher, they've probably got a copy. www.bookfinder.com is by far the best used book search engine - agregates most of the used book listing services.
  16. Blender drinks aren't cocktails. They're for getting chicks drunk. Brown booze and a good barbook.
  17. for the lawyers around Or if you've an unlimited budget
  18. Interesting for all people bitch about the media treating every yahoo as a climber, these 2, who are obviously climbers, are "hikers"

  20. Miso & Sushi. or as recommended to me by an Aussie/Swede Vegimite on Toast and a cup of tea w/milk & sugar.
  21. And we all know it's more important to be a positive, enthusiastic person. You'll get much further in life. Maybe even elected president! Because people will listen to your message because you are positive and enthusiastic. Even if you don't know shit
  22. Sadly, what you say is true Jay. The US has made being a plumber more lucrative than a physicisit, an acountant more lucrative than an astrophysicist. As for the former part - are you arguing that governmental restricitons aren't the only factor impeding growth?
  23. Since when is Russia with an alcohol problem news? This is the country where soldiers traded their tank for vodka!
  24. Just make sure your politician doesn't reconsider his position. He'll be labeled a "flip-flopper" or a "waffler"
