  1. Bullshit. It's pretty clear even with conduit.
  2. Don't get the Voile probe that stores in the shovel. Or the BC access. Get a decent metal shovel, and then a probe. Metal shovel blade of decent proportions, probe somewhere from 260-300cm. I don't use a probe much BC skiing. It sits in a pack so light is good. I haven't found much difference in the assembly of the current probes out there. Pull a cable and lock it off.
  3. The usual liberal lies, confusion and obfuscation.
  4. Is that sunburn or has he started drinking again?
  5. A guide service fighting further development. Amusing.
  6. Fatter skis + skill.
  7. Honestly? If they were given false, misleading and erroneous information by the administration, and based on this false, misleading and erroneous information they voted to go to the war, don't they have a right to change their opinion now that the "truth" has been revealed? Is it revisionist to admit you made a mistake? Is it dishonest to change one's opinion if you were wrong? And if the people who feed you the information were dishonest, should you not repudiate them? Good to see you and JayB acting like good little fascists PP. Protect the profits!

    Six Feet Under

"You know, I'm 3 weeks old, my world view spans no further than the walls of these intestines and I still find Six Feet Under pretentious."
  9. Must be with all the screaming and moaning.
  10. Then the ladies say "Prince Albert, I presume?"
  11. I think it and Onanism are running neck and neck.
  12. I would generally think you are correct on this one. I'm not sure you are correct. Many jurisdictions have private property protection rights afforded them similar to the US, codified in law. France requires compensation before expropriation. The government in the Czech republic is currently fighting to have industrial parks be a valid reason for eminent domain land seizure (something the US has allowed for decades). England has the same traditions of eminent domain as the US (we did inherit their laws). But hey, this is Euro bashing land I'm sure part of the reason Europe has decent rail is they didn't rip up the entire urban and suburban system after they built it the first go around, like Seattle did when it got rid of the Seattle & Rainier Valley RR, that served downtown to Renton.
  13. Oh yeah! Sideslipping entire runs is hella 'sthetic
  14. Definitely snowboard material.

thanks for jinxing me for next friday.
  16. No fucking thanks. I've skied in laceup leather tele boots, that's hard enough. At boots or tele boots are better unless the grades get up there. You are about 1.5 months too late for cheap AT shit, but something int the 80's in the waist, a pair of fritschis, and some nice boots will keep you happy.
  17. BECAUSE THEY BOUGHT THE LAND BEFORE A MASSIVE REAL ESTATE BUBBLE! The monorail was supposed to be cheaper because the ground footprint would be smaller and the land could be resold.
  18. Don't think the sky burial would go over well in the US.
  19. George, Dick and Donald
  20. Even more interesting is that the older, better numbers are the only ones that showed up in my search.
  21. Compare ground footprint. Compare land costs. Simple math really.
  22. And Bush's goose is getting cooked.

That was part of the logic behind helmet rules I believe. Public health policy. I'm curious of the civil libertarians views on public health policy regarding avian flu/anthrax/other pandemics. Should the government be allowed to mandate behavior, or should we trust that all citizens will act in their best interest?
