TimL, They are all similar as in Blank. High stepping helps too. Fuckin nubbins on white lightning at Peshastin. Try that one on lead! I dont recommend it but it would be bold. I have done a fair amount of 5.10 slabs.

I am not part of the mountaineers but knowing if you had to be I think could be important if someone was remotely interested and was turned off because of the membership needs.. I would certainly not want to attend the hootenannny square dance single gatherings for fear of turning redneck. Get the kong fi fi hook and some rubber bands. That 60 meter rope will get you down anything. Just fifi hook the anchors and dont unweight the rope when you rappel.

Do you have to be a mountaineer? What are the skills necessary? Are "Mountaineers History Committee members" voting in their editor? What are the benes if any? What are some reasons to do this other than personal satisfaction? What would one stand to gain or benefit?

I sleep on ropes, packs and my pack foam pad. Rarely do I take a sleeping pad in the backcountry any more. Too bulky and add much weight hehehe.

Yep most of those cracks are face climbs in disguise. BUT they are gear climbs I like Skaha. Small town lots of crags not grid bolted.

Where's Cottage Inn? Seattle? If so sounds good to me.
