the mohammad atta story has been around and is false. the isrealis detained a different man also named atta. the gore-north story sounds suspicious. do you have a reference? nothing like spreading lies to promote a political viewpoint...

also up that rocky run road is rampart ridge that we ski toured a while back trip report . i think it would make a good snowshoe too.

Posting this here because I know lots of climbers also kayak and maybe enjoy an action packed workout. We play polo Tuesday nights at 5:45ish at the UW canoe rental docks (right by the UW climbing rock next to Husky Stadium). Kayak polo is a great game. Check out this web page for more info and a video clip under "media page". ***Beginers Welcome*** If you don't have a reliable roll you can say so and we won't push you over . If you're an experienced paddler and want to enter the mosh pit all the better . We play hard but don't keep score and generally have lots of fun. PM me for questions/details.

they have them at QFC too, where it is often a lot faster. you have to be careful: if i put my bike helmet in the basket and then take it out it tells me to scan the thing and then locks up(it has a scale under where you put the basket so it knows when you've taken something out.)

one approach to this debate might be to simply poll the u.s. population and see if most people think there is a leftist media bias. that is, does the media perspective differ from that of the general population, or is the media simply reflecting the political views of the average citizen. some research seems to show that there isn't a clear consensus about media bias. while americans do, on balance, see the media as biased, they don't agree about which party the media favors. there is a lot of new conservative media to balance the old liberal media. but among americans who really do see a media bias, they are only somewhat more likely to think the media favors democrats: source more on what media people believe is based on the own political preference. scroll down to media credibility ratings. disclaimer: the source is an organization headed by madeline albright, so it is probably a liberal organization.

no, but it looks like he's ready to serve up some cream of mushroom soup for ya.

i think the point they are trying to make is a lot of the people driving SUVs around could be meet all their transportation needs with a more fuel efficient vehicle instead of a status/sexy vehicle. it's a point i think most people basically understand. i kind of don't like the ad though because, well, i drive an SUV. i kind of need an SUV for logging roads, and i don't think anyone thinks my '89 with 192K pathfinder is status/sexy. it's like a pickup truck to me. i thought they should have included a disclaimer for "real" SUV users, so basically they are stereotyping motherfuckers.

they're snowboarders. they think it's cool to be rude to rest of the world. that's why they call them snowboarders. my advice is to head to the backcountry. even if i go to a super popular bc area the worst i've encountered is the occaisional boarder sitting up to his waist in snow 200' past the trailhead smoking a fag and saying something about how he needs a splitboard or verts or a helicopter or something. disclaimer: some boarders are cool.
