Hola Looking to do some gorge ice early tomorrow AM. I am not in super great climbing shape right now, so definitely not looking to do the hard lines, but I've done ol' Misty before and could definitely handle that shit I've got gear, but would be helpful if you had a handful of screws and slings and shit too. I have a 70m single. I don't have a v-thread tool, so big bonus points if you do email me! benjaminbeckerich@gmail.com -b

5mm Titan - so light and strong https://www.bluewaterropes.com/product/titan-cord-with-dyneema-5mm/ Plus I also have another 30m of some regular 6mm... can do full 30mm raps solo for less than half the weight of rope - was essential for my free solo streak
-
$175 Right hand zip, regular length 3lbs... light for a 0F Nothin wrong with it... I even still have the original stuff saq! Always stored free hanging from its hanging loops, just as you see it. I think I've probably only spent like 3 nights in this thing.. just too warm for the low-altitude, boring shit I do Shipping would be extra. Located in Saint Helens, but I could meet you Portland types halfway at like sauvies island or something -Ben benjaminbeckerich at gmail.com sorry for sideways.... I do the best I can, and computers are like "nope, fuck you."
-
What? It's the shit falling on you that's the problem
-
In.... yes.... as in, still covered in frozen shit... problem this week will be the fact that all the gullies are gonna be absolutely bowling alleys, with warm temps and brite sun forecast all week Get up the headwall before the sun starts hitting the spires at the top, for sure!

[TR] Mount Hood - Dreadful Goat - Castle Crags 5/13/2016
Ben Beckerich replied to drocka's topic in Oregon Cascades
Too drunk to have a full grasp of what the fuck I'm looking at... but good job doing something unusual PROPS In all my dozens of Hood forays, I never did get on ye ol castley craglies. Seems like you gotta catch 'em in perfect conditions though.... whch you appear to have! -
Lots of recent temperature variation.. unless it warms up rapidly on Saturday (last forecast I saw said it was gonna be cold), you aren't gonna have any avi concerns. We were up there Tuesday.. the schrund had finally opened up - visible and easily passed.. newly opening fumerole holes on both sides of the crater floor.. some glide cracks closer to the headwall at the bottom of the old chute - just scope them out on the way up so you know where to ski down if weather cooperates, you should have success and a nice descent
-
What is your price, and where are you?
-
These are the old school black/purple/green variety Size 10 Overall condition is ... Actually pretty damn good. Minor scuffs and scrapes in the shells. No cracks, plastic doesn't seem to be dried out or anything. The liners have a weird plasticky smell that is probably just a biproduct of age and how long they've been sitting in a closet. some rust stains. They appear to be in 100% serviceable condition though- not coming apart, insulation is still squishy and resilient, no cracks or holes or bad seams. Etc. Tread is great. pretty much nothing wrong with these boots, aside from the 90s colors $30 in Saint Helens, Oregon. it's possible I could meet in Portland metro area, but getting schedules to line up will surely be a PITA, so I'd way rather ju yes come up here n get em. Shoot me your email or digits for pics if you want em -B
