Spent a cold, wet, 40mph sustained wind night up there last night. Very glad to have A- Good cold weather gear. B- A good tent. C- A good tent mate for 16hrs in less than ideal conditions. Thanks Ed Hobbick. The skin up sucked on very icy conditions. The ski down was very nice with 6-8 inches of new snow. Conditions up there are currently snowing and 30-40 mph winds for the next few days. Could have turnned epic had we not gotten a weather window to ski down this am. Only made it to the top of the palmer. Should be great once it clears up next week.

Just be aware that the first 1/2 mile or so of the tree trail on baker is now melted out. Not completley but it is speratic enught that you will want to carry your skis for the first 1/2 mile or so.
