  1. What size cam does Angel Crack take? I was considering it, but I have fairly small hands- #1 Camalot is perfect hands for me. But 0.75 might be kind of hard. -Mark
  2. I would love to go to Leavenworth tomorrow! I'm at school right now, I'll give you a call when I get home. I'll be at Index today as well. -Mark
  3. I am looking for a partner for Darrington or Index this weekend. The weather looks spectacular! EDIT: My phone # is 425-387-5677.
  4. Thank you for your advice. It seems then that this wall is more serious than I had originally imagined- I'll give the West Buttress a try this summer and see how I feel from there. -Mark
  5. I have been doing my best to get out to Darrington, but unfortunately I have only been once, on Big Tree 1. I would like to climb out there more, but one of my partners hates slab, two work weekends now, and a fourth is not technically skilled enough for me to feel comfortable taking him on some Darrington multipitch yet. I don't have a partner for the weekend yet. Is anyone interested in heading out this way, perhaps Green Giant Buttress or Exfoliation Dome? Also, what about this route on Squire Creek Wall? http://cascadeclimbers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/911137/Re_TR_Squire_Creek_Wall_Dick_R
  6. Our scout troop did our 50 miler in the Pasayten Wilderness this past summer. I was not able to go, but the boys who went loved it. I wish I had. -Mark
  7. Toxic Shock? Although I haven't climbed Outer Space. But it's high on my list!
  8. I have seen pictures and trip reports of Squire Creek Wall, and it looks amazing. Are there any topos available or descriptions of easy (5.7 and below) routes up this amazing wall? Thanks, Mark
  9. PM sent, thanks!
  10. You trust a couple pieces of metal in the rock with a surface area of a couple square inches, but are afraid to clip a large tree with root systems spreading out all throughout the wall? Just put one of your own slings on as a backup.
  11. Is the ledge in question the belay ledge at the top of Godzilla/City Park p1 or is it something different?
  12. There's a big freaking tree up there.
  13. I would love a copy! I will pay shipping for it. -Mark
  14. Cool, thanks! I only have Saturday open though, I'd like to stay home for Mother's Day. -Mark
  15. I need to get out, these walls oppress me. I'd love to climb at Index or go for an alpine trip. Open to other suggestions as well. I have gear but no car. -Mark
  16. Let's go to Index...You KNOW you want to send City Park! And great trip! It was really cool to see you again. Awesome job on everything.
  17. When climbing R&D this weekend, we got a #2 Technical Friend stuck on the pitch between Cocaine Connection and the R&D chimney. If someone is able to get it out, that would be awesome. I'd love to have it back, and I'll pay you a few bucks for your time. I kind of expect this to become fixed gear, but I really hope not. Thanks, Mark
  18. I was in Leavenworth this weekend, and I asked him about it, thinking the route would take him 3 hours if it takes a normal party all day. Nope. 25 minutes bottom to top. Way to send, Marc!
  19. Are you going to be in Leavenworth this weekend? If so, I might see you there.
  20. Well, do you think they blow because they are awkward, or because they are hard? Have you had a go at the 'buttlips' at Index? That chimney blows. It's the worst thing I have ever climbed, and the only time I have ever had to pull on gear to get up. I was on toprope. Might give Midway a shot soon, but I'm not too worried about that.
  21. Sorry, won't make that mistake again.
  22. Deals change every 20 minutes or so. It was a Black Diamond bivy at 40% off when I posted it. Now it's something else. That's how Steepandcheap works.
