  1. Not trying to kill anybody's sales here, but if you're just getting into winter hiking/mountaineering and aren't sure if you'll stick with it, you can probably rent most of the gear you'll need for the class from either EMS in Lake Placid or The Mountaineer in Keene Valley. Just an FYI...
  2. How long are the boards? (And I'm assuming the 404s are set up for size 42/43 boots?)
  3. This guy (Eli3) looks like he's got a couple 10's... http://cascadeclimbers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/1078549/Selling_my_ice_rock_rack#Post1078549
  4. PayPal or USPS money order. All prices include shipping to the lower 48. Marmot Sharp Point, medium, two-tone blue, exc. cond., $90 Lined Gore Windstopper softshell, no hood, pit-zips, velcro cuffs and Angel-Wing movement arms. Marmot rain shell, medium, blue, good cond., $35 MemBrain fabric, pit-zips, velcro cuffs, adjustable hood. (Actual color is slighty darker than appears in photo.) Mountain Hardwear Exposure II, medium*, blue, exc. cond., $65 Conduit fabric hardshell, adjustable rollaway hood, powder skirt, pit-zips, velcro cuffs. (*Size is medium, but fits like a large.) Mountain Hardwear G50, large, black, exc. cond., $75 -- sale pending Conduit fabric softshell, no hood, welded zippers. Rab Boreas, medium, Beluga (dark grey), exc. cond., $50 -- SOLD Though Rab describes it as a softshell, I'd call it more of a hooded windshirt, as the material is thinner than most softshells. Perfect for high-output activities. First Ascent Igniter, large, Ascent Blue, NWT, $150 -- sale pending Hooded Primaloft puffy.
  5. I'll have to pass on the Scarpas. While they'd be the perfect size for me, the offspring already has size 11.5 shoes...at age 12! (I shudder to think how big his feet are gonna be after he goes thru puberty!)
  6. Interested in the Scarpa boots (for my son, who I'm trying to encourage to try ice climbing, but for whom I'm reluctant to spend $$$ on boots that he may wear only once...) What size be they?
