I think combining the duties of emergency medical and fire / rescue is a very good idea and it has worked very well. But I think the cost of having your local fire department provide emergency medical services for patients is one that is often overlooked when assessing the merits of universal healthcare.

My buddy found a #5 camalot at the base of El Cap. It's pretty fucked up but I've used it before. It's name is Mr. Wobbly.
