Funny, the only common ground reached in this thread, by any of the adversarial contributors, is that Kevbone is a shithead. At least everyone can agree on that.
Probably pretty similar to what most Mountain Rescue outfits do: either body recovery or the twice yearly "rescue" someone with a sprained ankle.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
I wouldn't go that far. Not like EB GB's with a 5.11+ start to a 5.10 climb with a rating of .10d.
If the start is harder than 5.9 its only 2 feet off the deck!
Well apparently its not there anymore since we drove up the road Memorial Day weekend. What those damn Canadians need to do is fix those wretched potholes - made my beer go flat in about three minutes.
Thanks for the link, but I was hoping for some more detail to see what other neglected classics there may be up there. The Magic Fern is a pretty cool climb. It looks harder than 5.9, but its only 5.9.
The horror.
Well, before we left I was envisioning an approach similar to that of Bear - Vietnam tunnel simulation with skis. So by comparison, Depot Creek wasn't that bad and at least there is a trail and it is somewhat maintained.
