asong replied to millertimelive26's topic in Climbing Partners
I have been thinking about Liberty Ridge too. I and my partner might be available around 6/12. I am thinking following schedule. 6/13(Wed) – Bivy at Elmo Pass (7,400 ft) from White River Camp 6/14(Thur) – Bivy at Thumb rock (10, 760 ft) 6/15(Fri) – Bivy at Schurman 6/16(Sat) – Back to car Let me know what you are thinking -
I am also seriously thinking about heading out on Sat.

Sorry. I am not able to take this friday off. Let me know how it goes and what is ice condition there
-
Let me see whether I can take friday off by tomorrow.

I switched from VW at Redmond to Bellevue SG yesterday. Walls are taller and lots of bouldering options, kids freidenly, and workout machines. I like it.

Sounds interesting. I did Chair Peak this spring and tried Eldorado Peak last weekend. I did Denali this june and Rainier two times. I have no experience with trad, but some easy sport climbing(5.8) and a couple of ice climbing. shoot me when you have some detail plans, if i have time, I may go with you.

I am thinking about heading out that area. What route are you thinking about? I never climbed Kaleetan before. It seems South route is easiest (class 2), then east face is somewhat doable, class 4. Either way I am OK. I am living in Bellevue. So we can meet at a shopping center parking near I-90 exit 11A. Meeting place: It's in a shopping center with an Albertsons on the south side of I-90 just east of I-405. For an on-line map reference, use this bank:> Washington Federal Savings> 3712 150th Ave SE, Bellevue, WA> > Heading east on I-90, take the 150th SE exit, stay right, immediately turn left on SE 38th, then another immediate left into the shopping center. Look for us between the bank and the Shell station. Jaehee Four two five eight nine one nine one one seven

Hi, I am interested in MGH. I am not familiar with Mt. Adams. But I did Rainier two times and had a few ice climbing experiences. I have everything except Ice tools. I guess either I need to buy or rent them. Ping me with more detail plan such as when you are going to start and where to meet, what group gears and etc. Jaehee

I am thinking about ascending Polish Route and descending Normal Route. Still struggling with raising fund for this expedition. But I am very interesting in your literary and cost. This would be my second seven summits. I did Denali this June.

Who wants to climb Rainier September 2nd?
asong replied to TheNumberNine's topic in Climbing Partners
I summited Denali on June 19th this year. if you go on Sep 2 and 3rd (2 days) I might climb with you. I want to climb route other than DC. I may decide a route depending on trail condition. -
I am interested too if we take a different route than DC. I summited Rainer via DC last year. This spring tried Gib Ridges twice without sucess. Summited Denali this June.
-
Anyone wants to go this Friday and Saturday. May 6 and 7 attempt had cancelled due to bad weather. I am trying this week again. The weather seems favorable this time.
-
I will have time on 20th and 21st of May. If it is not good time for you. let me know how are trail conditions after the climb.
-
When you are planning? I am going to climb Mt. Rainier May 6 and 7th via Gib Ledges. I want to do one more climbing before Denali expedition on June. Baker would be good. Let me know when you want to go. One day or two days?
-
I was one of them who climbed on that day. In the last photo, there are 6 peoples, three teams were acending as you guys were going down. I was the last one. See my photo album

Hey Swedish, I sent a pm with my contact.
-
May 6-7 will be ideal. Then it would be 3 or 4 of team including you. Welcome on board.
-
I am thinking either 2 days or 3 days. if it is 3 days thing, it would camp at muir one night and possibly at summit another night. I would start thursday, and finish Sat. If it is 2 days, start Friday and Finish Sat. thinking about either 2nd week(14-16) or 3rd week (21-23) For Denali 6/2 ~ 6/25

Hey Matt, Are you around Seattle area? if yes, we may meet sometime soon. send a pm with your contact. I am in Bellevue, WA.

Hi budies, I am trying to climb Rainier via Gib Ledges. I tried on 3/18/2011 but failed due to bad weather. I climbed Rainier last year via DC and is going to clim Denali this June. So this would be my final training for Denali. I am thinking about 5/13 - 14 or 5/20-21 depending on weather and partners. Ping me if you are interested in. thanks,

I tried the liberty ridge the second week of March. But due to heavy snow and nasty weather I and my partner turned back. I would like to try it again. But want to do late April or early May because I will be in Denali in June.
-
Sundays and Mondays are not good time for me. If you happen to climb other days, I am happy to join you guys.

Hi, I did climbed Rainier last year twice. One on June up to Ingraham Glacier, we had to turn back due to high avalanche danger, the other one on July via DC. I am heading for Denali this June. This would be one of Denali preparation. I am thinking about the 2nd or 3 weeks of March, 2011 via Kautz, starting from Thursday and coming back Saturday. If anyone is interested? 425-891-9117
