Who's in charge of parking damage, human waste, and garbage management?

Bachman's an extremely organized, strategically thinking profession with a strong work ethic. Like most Rfucks, her grasp of the facts is a loose one, but that is the last thing her base is worried about. Remember, the bagger movement is a reactive. emotional one - no intellectual component required. They damn well know what they're against, and have absolutely no policy agenda past that. She's not in this for the money. Palin's a trailer girl who, through sheer dumb luck, found herself in the national spotlight at just the right time for her "message" - which is nothing more than regurgitated results of what her constituents want to here. Give her an income and she'd spend her days in a Snuggy, watching soaps. Still, Bachman's not an RNC favorite - because she won't tow the their line, and she's got a damn big mouth (literally). The RNC's problem is that Romney is a coma inducing candidate, while Bachman's fun to watch in action. It'll be interesting to see how the GOP navigates this...

Nah. A lot of those folks sell legally to dispensaries now = they're already in the legal market. They're also some of the best entrepreneurs out there - most will navigate whatever new comes along just fine, just like they always have. Big Pot will purchase their expertise and branding (yes, branding has been around for a while, now) if they decide to get into the biz. It'll segment into cheap shitheel high volume rag weed, but the premium producers can easily remain independent, just as they do in the booze trade. Of course, Big Pot will offer a sweetened product with caffeine, burn enhancers,GMO fungicides.... And, of course, all these predictions are complete bullshit. It's a new market with its own variety of cultures. Such new markets don't come along like this very often, and are hard to predict, particularly for the more formulaic thinkers among us.

Get the government out of the way and let the auto makers, energy companies, agribusiness, and Wall Street lead the way, already.

The core of anti MJ folks are concerned parents. They fall into two categories: Those who are willing to admit their kids could, at some point, try pot, and those who refuse to accept that fact. The latter is hopeless, but once the former group compares the future destroying risk of being busted for pot versus the risk of actually smoking it, they come around pretty quickly on the side of legalization. Particularly when they see the statistics of how readily available it is for their little darlings' smoking pleasure, thanks in no small part to the War on Drugs itself. The 'it can't happen here' mentality usually flies out the window at that point.

Alison Holcomb would have ripped the other guy a chunnel sized asshole without breaking her polite, business casual smile.

Love Tommy, but he's not the best spokesperson for the issue. All I can hear is "Dave's not here, myan."

The only difference between this guy and your standard E-vangelical is that Very Inappropriate Yoga Guy prefers his fresh and real.

Globalization: this quarters earnings per share in exchange for next decades prosperity. Funny how the 'use it or lose it' principle never seems to get a mention among the labor liquidity masturbation set.

Why College Pays Off A nicely written retort to the 'I wanna keep a few more tax dollars so let's pretend more education is actually a bad thing' crowd. Counterintuition: so hawt right now. Next up... ...Has more freedom really helped women and black people????

Why regulate at all? Greenspan never even wanted to regulate FRAUD. Buyer beware and all that. Jesus. I fucking hate Rfucks. All the integrity of a drunken frat boy with none of the charm. Fortunately, they're all really shitty in bed, so we get the choice babes.

That really didn't come out right.

Need a 14 year old for a while?

I'd ask him: What do you like to do, what are you good at, and how important is earning a decent salary to you? If he said I love poetry and have a knack for languages and love to study, I am independently wealthy, and I don't care about making money than I'd recommend he go to the school with the best poetry program out there - irrespective of the cost, and continue with graduate study if possible. Again - irrespective of the cost. If he said I like to work with my hands, I've got a knack for fixing things, I find most of school boring and pointless and my family can't pay a dime for more education I'd recommend that he look into skilled trades where he can learn on the job and get paid while doing his training - and that college is something that he can always pursue later if his ideas about what he wants to do with his life change. Etc - basically what any non-retarded high-school guidance counselor would tell kids based on their interests, aptitudes, and level of motivation. You'd make a really inspiring counselor. "Shoot low, kid." I prefer my world just little less formulaic and deterministic, thanks. Most people going to college are 18 - they have not fucking clue what they want to do. Their 'levels of motivation' are far from set. College is a great way to mix it up and explore that. You act is if the system is forcing poor feckless kids who would really be happier in a MinuteLube bay go to Harvard instead ("how did I get under all this debt!!!???" Its yet another strawman to justify your fundamental douchery - you'd prefer to save a few bucks rather than give a fuck and help those who want to go to college get there. "But what if education ISN'T all its cracked up to be?" Typical Rfuck suck. You should sign on to an Rfuck campaign this time around - they need all the pineapple upside down messaging they can get.

Looks like an excellent place to start some budget cutting.

Americans take more drugs, illicit and prescription, per capita than any other nation - despite warehousing 25% of the world's inmates (with only 5% of the world's population). That's after spending hundreds of billions over 40 years on the Drug War. For anyone who cares about their kids, or about drugs in general as a public health issue, I'd say a different approach might be in order.

Eating raw ramen is not caused by pot. Forgetting the stove burner is, however.

Yup. if you get pulled over and smell like weed (or, more likely, the cop says you smell like weed cuz he doesn't like your ass for some reason), then you might get to take a blood test and get busted for the joint you smoked 3 days ago. Of course, that could happen right now, so no change there. The big difference is when you're smoking a joint without a vehicle and the cop gets to drive on by and deal with more important things rather than wasting tax dollars dragging another harmless hippy to the slammer.

Fixed that for 'ya Bit of a misconception that pot makes people sedentary, but we'll leave it at that. No one's promoting the use of pot. We just don't think getting high, in and of itself, should land anyone in prison. You know, like booze.
