Yeah, I think that is the fun of it... Talking to strangers all across the world. Of course, there is also the gear whoring/tinkering factors for most users.

But if I don't knead the bread, I won't get my uber sick strong hand workout? I heard that's how Sharma and Beth send the 5.15s, it's all about the knead work out, dude.

Mark, if you send me a pm, I'd be happy to put you in contact with my Dad. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to help a newbie out...

My Dad is a big HAM guy. He's always pissing off the neighbors with his huge antennas all over the yard. He also has a thriving little business buying, repairing and re-selling HAM gear. Seems like it is still pretty popular to a certain demographic. I think so long as the cell phone and land lines still work, HAM will be relegated as an old timers hobby. If/when the cells/landlines don't work, we will all be happy the HAM guys are there. (IMO) If you are a HAM, say hi to my pops - AK7R...

when I left for work mid day, it was encased in a rainy fog... Not visible whatsoever... Pretty warm now too. -
BTW, it's not just a "chicken house", it's a "semi-mastered planned organamatic chicken community". Come on, get with program already! What kind of carpet do your chickens have? I bet they have never even heard of a European style mud baths.

I'd park at the gate on the logging road, directly behind the gravel pit/industrial park, which is across the street from the North Bonneville Golf Course entrance, about a half-mile west of the Chevron. The gate is usually locked anymore, but used to be open year round... Keep on the main road, which will zigzag up to the bowl/talus fields at the bottom of the flows. Actually getting on the ice may prove to be cruxy. -

If it goes down and I'm around, pm me so I can get some pics... -
Mike, have you found any North Face VE24 dome tents or 850 fill 4 season Denali-thick sleeping bags that folks have just left on public land abandoned like trash? Sometimes people leave this shit littering the entire floor of the once pristine Yosemite Valley or the grasslands near Smith Rock. They just leave this shit laying around because they are too damn lazy to put it back in their car every morning, so they just leave it laying on public land for days and weeks on end. Total eyesore! It's a disgrace! Looking for quality stuff in the $10 and $20 range or will trade an 8 ball in case you can turn something up in Little Cottonwood Canyon or elsewhere. Ciao!

Need my ass kicked? I simply stated that we obvoiusly see things differently. whats wrong about that? You want me to change my mind so bad, that you would see my ass kicked? You get into fist fights over verbal debates such as this? Then you sure sound like a Prick, Steve. This is a online forum. Were not at a crag, with someone stealing quickdraws in front of your face. And honestly, I really don't give a shit anymore. Sidenote from this, again, Happy 2011 climbing. reer, do I see a cat fight?

Just don't get so drunk this time, and be sure to keep your clothes ON, for crikes sake. Sorry, no fireplace.

Shameless plug for my buddy's new restaurant... If you find yourself out in the Stevenson/Beacon area, be sure to stop down at the new 130 Bar & Grill in Stevenson. Down on the water front, just across the tracks and a half-block east of Walking Man. (In the old Crab Shack building.) Great food and ten rotating taps. $1 PBR & Coors Light and $2.50 micro brews every Sunday and Monday during the football games. Be sure to tell them I sent you. Cheers! The BACON wrapped scallops and the crawfish quesedilla are the bomb! MMMMMM BAAAACCCCCOOOOOONNNN!

I think Larry is correct. I've lived here for 6 winters and am looking at it from my living room. I'd say this is as fat as I've ever seen it too... -
