    Immersion!

I paid over 8 bucks for a Manhattan at the Hilton bar.
  2. Oh, and try Pudge Bros. Pizza in Wallingford, on 45th. A bit of a drive from the seattle center, but good pizza. Their sauce is a bit zesty, which my kids are OK with, but some kids might prefer their "mild red" sauce -- which you can get special ordered. There is a comic book store across the street (The Comics Dungeon) and a Winchell's. And Pro Mountain Sports is not far away, for a little post-dinner browsing
  3. YES -- Bamboo Garden on Roy Street. Vegan chinese food -- but don't let that scare you. It's amazing, and they use homemade soy-based meats. Very chill atmosphere, my kids are basically growing up there. And it's within walking distance of the seattle center. My kids like the gourmet chow mein with no veggies (haha -- I know!). Try the sizzling szechuan noodles for yourself. For deserts and stuff, try B&O Esspresso on capitol hill. Good hot cocoa and tons of pastries and cakes. The Spaghetti Factory is downtown in the belltown area near the water. It's not too bad, unless you really, really like Italian food, in which case you'll hate me. Along the same vein, Boca Di Beppo is not far from the needle, and pretty kid friendly. You might want to make reservations there, and if you do, try to get a table in the kitchen. Their tiramisu has a little rum in it, which always puts my kids to sleep.

    Super Tuesday

Let's take this offline and touch base. I'm confident that we can resolve this issue though a one-on-one interface. Let's get it on the front-burner so we can create synergies. I would like to see you fully empowered and engaged, so let's sit down and peel the onion until we reach consensus.

Seahawks, I see that you are criticizing the political beliefs of others. I feel that is disrespectful. I'm concerned that there is a growing problem, and I'd like to help you. Are you willing to receive open and honest feedback?

    Immersion!

Personal Reflection Process: (luckily this is printed on a laminated card I can carry in my wallet) What is happening right now? What am I doing? What am I feeling? What am I thinking? What am I trying to achieve right now? What am I doing that may be stopping me from getting what I want? What can I choose to do differently that will help me get what I want? What is contributing to my success that I need to keep doing or do more of? ADAPT! ADJUST! IF NOT NOW, WHEN??

    Immersion!

man, am I innovating for success! Luckily, my instructor -- I mean, my senior facilitator, has a background in applied leadership science. SCIENCE! I am fully engaged as an active participant in the learning process. I am invested in the experience and am joyfully embracing a new management philosophy to better discover my authentic leadership self. They have provided me with a learning journal to increase interpersonal awareness throughout the learning experience, so that I can achieve management excellence and enable change through developing leadership systems to encourange functional expertise. Remember, manage projects but LEAD PEOPLE!

    Immersion!

I am EXCELLENCE the key component to this learning strategy is immersion! This event is making sure that my learning is maximized, to help me fully realize my own self-actualization. Moving forward, I hope to fully leverage my skillset to help my directs reach their own potential using a tightly-coupled combination of leadership, and coaching. I'm wearing my lucky red spider-man shirt today.

    Immersion!

So, for the next week my office has put me up in the Hilton, to attend some "total immersion" management training bullshit. There are no interwebs in the conference room, the better to force me to pay attention. In my room, I have to pay for wi-fi. WTF? The Hilton doesn't have free wi-fi? Anyway, in the meantime, those of you that know me can amuse yourself with the mental image of me wandering around the Bellevue Hilton -- talk about a fish out of water I think I'll go downstairs and pratice being haughty to the staff. You have to keep them in their place or they get uppity.
