P.S. re: the OP -- sounds like somebody picked up some adware. You must be downloading a lot of porn.

actually, in terms of bugs-per-line-of-code, Microsoft does fairly well. Windows 7 is pretty good. I was raised by an apple fan and learned software development on Apples, Macs and Unix machines. I sold my motorcyle when I was 16 to buy my first PC, against the strong protests of my apple-fan father. There is something to be said for Unix, but anybody who honestly thinks that Mac software is signifigantly ahead of Microsoft, in terms of quality, is either fooling himself, or not a developer. Apple has certain benefits (especially for non-powerusers) in its simplicity of form, and they have GREAT design sense (something Microsoft lacks), but that is a long way away from being truly superior. I HAVE SPOKEN!

Macs are like Fischer Price "my first computer."

I love how truthers will proclaim, DEFINITIVELY AND LOUDLY, that "9/11 was an inside job!" And then when you challenge them, they defensively retreat into statements like, "well, I don't claim to have all the answers..." And then fail to provide references to their outlandish claims. Just another fucking religion.

I see your point. However, my Jewish friends are usually the first to make fun of Jewish stereotypes. I think its all in the delivery. You can usually tell if someone is being playful and friendly versus mean and hateful.

Dude - where *did* you go to college? Clearly you missed out on ethno-gendo-culturo-senso course/seminar/retreat/confessional that would have clearly and definitively answered this question for you. Tisk-tisk. I was busy having sex with girls, duh

I even shave my legs (but only on big dates.)

I love shoes. And hats. Everybody has a little gay in them. Some people aren't comfortable with that, and they either become homophobes, or they go to the other end of the spectrum and get a cramp in their pussy anytime anybody calls something "gay." Different sides of the same coin.
-
Men and women are not the same, and straight men and gay men are not the same. There are distinct differences. For example, women (and gay men) like shoes and cry at movies. Does that mean they're bad and shouldn't be in the military? Of course not. It just means I get to tease my friends. Can't we just laugh about our differences, rather than pretending there are no differences?

You call him a friend whom you caught crying during a movie. If you cry during a movie are you gay? A pussy? Retarded? So am I supposed to hug him instead? Nobody has a sense of humor anymore, that's the problem. It's very fashionable to be offended these days.
-
Aren't comments like, "sand in your vagina" equally offensive (to women)? Where does it end????
-
thx. I'm really wondering on consensus on this...I'm a huge fan of equal civil liberties for gays and lesbians (this should be obvious by now), and I certainly don't want to offend anyone (at least, not in that fashion), but I'm not really as sensitive as other people seem to be about this kind of thing. However, if I train myself to stop saying "gay" in that context, then what do I call my friend whom I catch crying during a movie? I still want to laugh at him, but all the good words are being pre-empted. Soon, I won't even be able to call him a pussy anymore It's troubling.

So, for quite some time I've used the term "gay" in a manner that (IMO) has nothing to do with homosexuals -- in the same way that "lame" has nothing to do with people that can't walk. In the past, I've been backed up on this by gay friends. I believe there is a south park episode that covers this. However, I've been reprimanded more and more lately (by gay friends) that saying something is "gay" is like using the "N" word. Wanda Sykes apparently agrees. So, what's the story? And should I also stop using "lame" and "retarded?" Also, are there times it's OK to use it as a statement of fact? For example: "shaving your legs and dressing up in lycra to ride your bike is pretty gay." Sometimes, saying something is gay is just a statement that it's the opposite of machismo, right? Like crying at a movie or something. Confusing! I want to be supportive of gay rights, but everything just got so complicated. TIA!

i would like at least 3 examples of a "fact", since you are fluent in the language. just 3. maybe 10 if you get quite excited. It's strange that you think this is hard to do.

still waiting for those references, esp. the "many" eyewitness accounts seeing explosives detonate in the basement, as well as the accounts of janitors who saw "unfamiliar" electricians accessing the buildings several nights before the tragedy. I would love to see where that data came from.
-
Hey, how do you imagine they've kept the "night crew" (that actually placed the explsoives) quiet all these years? Impressive.

Really? Please post reference. I'm not sure I've heard this one before. Please post reference Exactly. Quite an operation the government managed to pull off, huh?
-
Why did the government plan on blowing up bldg 7, HOURS after Bldg 1 and 2, and without any explanation? They couldn't have known it would be hit by debris from bldg 1 and 2, or catch on fire, so how would they have explained a sudden explosion and collapse hours later? Why not just hit it with another plane? Firefighters entering the building knew it was going to collapse and calculated it would collapse by 3PM. They were a few hours off.

And only landowners should vote.

I doubt Kevbone will make it through this, but in my opinion, it thoroughly debunks about everything the crackheads keep stating http://www.skeptic.com/eskeptic/06-09-11/

I saw a bike locked up to a tree the other day. I CAN"T BELIEVE THEY JUST LEFT THEIR JUNK AFFIXED TO A PUBLIC SPACE!!! Naturally, I cut the lock and took it. I'm sure Raindawg will back me up.

Really? I thought this thread was going pretty well.
