Hey Folks....Just wondering if anyone here has used the BD Arc Ascents or have some opinions about them...etc...... I am 5'8" and will be "putting ( or presuming ) about" 190 Lbs on a short pair or 167's. Does that sound like a good rando race ski aswell? Thanks.....

Yeah, Muir Tomorrow morning....early. Skin up, BS, ski down, BS some more.....lol Hey MT38 .....I'd love to pick ya up man, but I live 1/2 hour away from the hill, and plan to be up skinning by 7AM. If anyone happens to be going up tomorrow, then I guess we will cross paths one way or another.

Anyone wanna skin up to Muir this weekend? Perhaps an overnighter and hit the freshies following morning? Im bored.

No doubt Korup.! I actually have another question: I found a pair of Blackdiamond Arc Ascents for sale in a 167..... Would anyone have some input on them as well? I love to rando on tele skis, and just wondered about this model....sorry about all the inquiries.....just don't wanna make a mistake on a purchase.

I just wanted to hear if anyone has used them and not broken them...lol I plan to get a set of 167's to just be a bit lighter than my normal pair of 176's, and will be using a pair of Fritschi Express binders, and should be good with that for an occasional jaunt up the hill. I appreciate your input~!

Whats the story with this ski? Has anyone here ever used a pair? I am planning to buy a pair just to skin from hut to hut, and perhaps make a few rounds from Paradise to Muir this winter. Just wondering if I huck off of something, if this ski would shatter or whatever...lol! Anyway..Sounds like a nice deal for 200 bux for a pair of light 167's. Well perhaps someone could discourage me, or encourage the deal..... Let me know.. Thanks.

Heck, I have Soloed the DC, Success Cleaver, Emmons Winthrop, and have camped on the summit solo. Stupid?.....Perhaps. Qualified for a solo permit?.....I thought so, and so did the rangers. Did I feel fear and lonelyness followed by the voices of dead climbers?.....Yes Did I cache a six pack, and had cigaretts on me at all time?.....Yes Just do it if your ready man, give it a try, worst case......you may not like the idea of it once you are underway, and that ok too. I have been seen "spinning" from solo efforts before, just because I didnt feel like it that day, just listen to yourself.
