wow. harsh. antagonistic. very very angry. I'd say another tragedy is that there are people so stupid that they cannot see that "Marxism" was and is, for the thinking person, mainly descriptive, not prescriptive. it's an immensely rich avenue of inquiry and discourse. where i fall off is when people endorse its barely formed prescriptive theoretics, without acknowledging its tremendous short-comings and misapplications. Don't bother. wouldn't know a marxian analysis from a hole in the ground, much less what you're talking about. Pretend your writing for the History Channel or one of those little evangelical comic books.

I'm not saying it does. The point is to maintain some fricking perspective! It seems people have lost all ability to differentiate between levels of magnitude or recognize inequalities in power relations. I don't think I'm ready to start hauling members of the French Resistance before a court to answer for killing Nazis or branding people freeing monkeys with electrodes on their balls terrorists. It's simply absurd.

You mean like when he and his sons hacked to death 5 fellow human beings in Pottawatomie, Kansas? Yes; I would say that made him a terrorist--which is why he was hung. 400 million dead Africans and John Brown's the terrorist. Riight. More of the same reactionary sound and fury as the previous posts about the end of civilization, barbarians at the gate, and the environmental devastation caused by burning four really ugly, empty houses. Fascinating, any number of today's news stories that should be drawing these howls of condemnation, in which something or someone was actually harmed. Where's your bluster for the first American suicide attack of the week at Wendy's or US Marines throwing puppies off cliffs? These incidents seem better indicators of civilizational health than some well-meaning, frustrated, and misguided kids risking their liberty to make a political statement. Get a fucking grip.

Actually, I didn't applaud the act and I don't necessarily find the tactics appropriate. What I find absolutely hilarious are the contortions necessary on your parts to find language invective enough to your express your pious outrage. But then, I expect nothing less from the CC.com Victorian Ladies Sewing Circle.

Savagely abhorrent, thoroughly despicable, shamefully disgraceful, undeniably egregious, downright sinful, absolutely inhuman... The outpouring of sanctimonious indignation and sympathies for parasitic real-estate developer/barons, that is! Everyday this place sounds more and more of the shrill clucking and tsk-tsking of the nursing home day-room. Take your meds, drink your Nutrifeed, watch some Matlock, and STFU.
  8. How 'bout a slogan? Hunting in National Parks: 'Cause God Knows We Need More of These Retarded Assholes Around:
  9. "You damn raht. I had to wait me a whole week for this sumbitch!"
  10. I couldn't agree with you more. And that scares me.
  11. Better yet, let's hunt the hunters. As we all know, man is the most dangerous game.
  12. In the same way Bush has, of course...
  13. "Don't forget about me." ---The Rest of the World Oh, and an 8oz. block of Tillamook Cheddar is now over $5.00. Holy supply/demand curve!

  21. Are we speaking about all of Islam here? Yeah, all this racism is confusing. Clarification please!
  22. As stated in the article, the quotes are from an earlier period in Churchill's career as a colonial administrator. You find the footnotes if it's a problem for you. I thought that the quotes I used provided an interesting historical context for his comments on Islam. In this sense Churchill's comments on Islam (the one's you liked so much) resemble little more than ideological justification for Britain's earlier racist colonial expansion and later desire to maintain control over post-colonial states. What that has to do with Nazis, I'm not sure.
