and quit this week citing the fact that more folks give a shit about american idol then their culpability in a aggressive war that's killed and continues to kill thousands not quite certain why she was chilling w/ chavez, nor how that would diminish the truth of her message. Why is it that there is not more of an uproar over this war. Neither here or abroad has there been a consistent social upheaval by the masses against this "war." My belief is that since the abolishment of the draft, we have become apathetic and complacent in how we deal with war. Because of a "volunteer force", which incidentally has lowered its recruiting standards to the bottom rung, people see no reason to complain as long as it doesn't affect them. I am in no way advocating a re-institution of selective service. I just believe that it is predominate reason why more people just don't give a fuck. When they run out of bodies,dont think "they" wont come a callin' your number. Then watch how fast you hear chants of, "Hell no we won't go." The face of the anti-war movement should not have been Cindy Sheehan's. It should be that of a mobilized youth. Weight fluctuations over a day or so are water, period. Take a look at three pounds of butter stacked up. That is the size of three pounds of fat. You don.t add that kind of volume to your body over a couple of days. Take a look at 3 pounds of water (10 lbs a gallon= not much volume). Water is absorbed all over the body quickly and also is used by the body even quicker. That is what you see on the scale when you are eating normally. When you eat a bunch of sugars all of a sudden your body does not need as much water so it stores it quickly all over the place. Hence quick weight gain. Don't be discouraged by little ups and downs, as long as you keep a downward trend over a long time. It seems that the longer you take to loose the fat, the easier it is to stay that way. Probably because it takes that time to learn new eating habits and lifestyle changes.

Teens rebel, as time goes on each new generation of teens has to find what they think is a new method, They mostly want to be noticed. The old teenage angst thing, maybe. I figure they straighten themselves out eventually or not depending on the tools given them by their parents. The two mom's reminded me of the clueless moms of the early 60's that had no idea whet their kids were up to. WE tried out all the "new" drugs, some of the guys I hung out with croaked and some lived and became regular people. Same shit different generation. Either way the population is still growing.

I have a sphinx 32 litre and like it quite a bit, but I find it a bit heavy for a 32 litre pack, check out MEC's Alpine Light packs I have a 45 and really like it they make a 35 as well I believe. They are inexpensive to boot.
