heh, we totally tried to steal your AMGA instructor's campsite! it was the british guy I think. We showed up after dark and didnt see anything in their campsite so we started to move in and then they showed up. The brit was cool but the other instructor was a dick.

just figured I'd put some closure to this thread. JTree was Awesome! I was initially unimpressed by some 5.6 sport the first day but then we got onto the Hemmingway wall, Colorado Crack, The Gem, Thin wall, and some 5.6 and a 5.8 in the Belle CG. I have to go back! The place was crowded though (spring break I guess). Two thumbs up.

Racking on the harness is the way to go. Though I dont use it, I have seen peope carry several similar cam sizes on the same carabiner so you can find the right placement w/o reracking several times. then they just carry lots of extra slings with 2 carabiners on them, one for clipping the gear and the other for the rope. Might be a good way for newbies who cant estimate their gear sizes well. Also, carrying all the slings forces you to clip things on longer runners and learn how to not create rope drag.

in one week myself and coworkers: had a party on a company taxi boat and passed out on the lake we worked at, got busted getting the 17yr old drunk in the company dorms(no alcohol allowed inside regardless of age), set off explosives from the pier, and had a party which broke the hottub at the managers house I was staying at. I was the only one who got canned but thats just because he couldnt fire the whole crew mid summer.

I also noticed on the hike back to Hwy 20 that there were insulators nailed on the trees every so often at about 15 feet height. Telegraph cable to the lookout?
