  1. I have done Thin Air (just the first pitch) 5.8 I believe, I heard the second and third pitch had a crux hold bread about 5 years ago making both pitchs come in around hard 10.b. Delerium Tremens is beautiful. Nice lead.....not a gime.
  2. Anybody notice in Olsen guide there are several 3 or 4 star routes that are PG or PG 13, what is up with this? I was under the impression that the more stars the more possitive. Better pro, rock and holds are. Well PG means if you fall you have a damn good chance you are goin to hit something other than air. I have a hard time thinking a route can be 4 stars and be PG/PG13. Comments?
  3. You should not be spending the night on stuart! Tent to tent or car to car if you super burly.
  4. I have found the weight and space comes from Ice axe, crampons, stove and sleeping bag. 2 pound down sleeping bags are not that expensive these day, under $200 and they pack down really small. Ice axe could get spendy but you could pick up a light weight axe for under $100, the crampons get spendy if you want light. I have chosen to go with the new Air tech super light, they are more like $150 and up. Stoves, well it really depends on what kind of meal you want to eat. My stove weights less than 3 pounds with the fuel. A great tip for breakfast is put granola in a zip lock and place powdered milk and dried fruit in the bag. Bring a light weight bowl and spoon which will double for other meals. Each morning pour out the granola and dried milk into bowl. All cold milk and walla you have a hearty breakfast that will last in you for most of the morning. Works like a charm. Hope this helps bone
  5. This looks like the top out on Dierdra.
  6. Thanks for you input Dechristo. At this current juncture this “Guide/list” won’t be leaving my computer. I do like your idea when writing a guide with no stars to add a list of “writers favorites”, this seems like a plausible solution to the “no star” approach. Although at a small crag is seems that if you go to a crag that is still new, you as a climber should be aware of the newness of the crag and be fully aware there are no stars, just grades listed on the “list”. Therefore just be looking up at a climb, the climb will either “call you “or it wont. Spring Mt is a good example, all three times I have been there I have used Kevin’s (guy who wrote guide) guide you can find online. I don’t believe he used a star system. Either way I do remember just going by grades and how the route looked. Did it look fun? Roofs/features/cracks/sustained/not sustained? That sort of thing. I kind of like that kind of an approach. I really don’t want to spoon feed anybody with the “come and climb my climb because I put it up routine”. They need to climb it for themselves.
  7. "The Canadian Security Intelligence Service said it knew nothing about the coins". Yah....OK.
  8. I will let you know, Its all about Mag and Miles and making sure they are supported first.
  9. I surely might. I might even be able to.
  10. This is really the only reason you don’t like them? You suck. My wife and I both have owned Subaru’s and they are like tanks! They go everywhere. The only reason we choose different cars this time around is because the new Sub’s cost too much.

D…since you are well articulated (but rarely make sense), I would love to hear your thoughts about stars vs stars in that particular thread.
