What happened? This thread was in full spray mode......then a real discussion come along....WTF

I agree......this guy is sick beyond words....

What an asshole……”its my state….and you will do what I want you to do”…..What does think he is fucking Hitler? It’s that mentality that started EVERYTHING Not true…..ask Marting (out at the zone), he was involved with a bolt war about 10 years ago. He states that the choppers came in a chopped and then the crack started getting filled with oil and other lame shit. This ensued for about 2 years until the crag looked like a war zone and the land mgr at the time closed the cliff. No one won…..everybody lost. This started the minute the FIRST BOLT WAS CHOPPED….not the other way around.

Man if you are going to got there then you or I do not have the right to cut down tree's and pour concrete and call it a road....but we do anyway.

It seems to me the harder you climb (13 and up).....the bigger your ego becomes. I do know some very humble 13 climbers....but one or two.......the rest of them have huge heads.

When I say “public eye” I mean he has a public record of his activities. Public….as in anyone has access this information. General public…..what does that mean? You mean folks who watch Fox News? Or do you mean the climbing community? If it’s the latter….I would say you and I know about it….and Bill posted this on a climbers web site……Rock & Ice is a climbers web site. Hmmmmm…..maybe more people are interested than you lead us to believe…..and maybe not….. The vandalism comes when one comes and destroys others work. And yes one could argue your above point……but IMO….that is very weak argument. It is not conceited at all…..I think (and you have heard this from me before) that chopping bolts is conceited. My way or no way style of thinking is all about ego. I see routes, bolted or all gear, as art work. Someone took time to clean, scrub, maybe put an anchor in, trundle, top rope, clean some more, bolt if necessary, then lead and name…..art work bro…… sickie

This has nothing to do with spray. I'm just observing whats happening around me. I agree…….it is not spray until you are talking about how hard you climb. ……just talking about grades is not spray.
