these are just not going to cut it for me in the mountains - too short for hiking. these sizes are running really small. i would guess a size 9-9.5 shoe wearer would want these. i never take 11's myself, but i need a half or whole size bigger. they haven't hit the trail, just enough walking to convince me i'd be a cripple in the mountains (BRAND NEW). $60, pm if you'd like. these do measure 11.5 long to long, but the inside of the shoe is about 10 3/4.

just curious if any input is out there on binding location with these. old pair of silvretta's, old, free (no, i was not a snowblader or whatever these are) gaper skis - 85 cm, 115 mm waist, symmetrical side cut, tip & tail identical. i am wondering if i should just go with the boot center at the waist or if there could be any advantage to mounting them back of center a cm or so. i know it's a little trivial with this short a board, but i have floatation & stride curiosities. i've mounted several skis - tele & alpine, and played with different mounting positions, so extra points for good technical advice.

it's not the plane, but the pilot who flys it. you pretty much need to make the decision for yourself based on experience. i'm in the big boot camp (and I did have 1st gen. t2's after the leathers). the steering, the stability, blahblahblah, cruddy conditions, all feel better to me with big boots, which I feel are quite manageable on tours, too. are you an aggressive skier or more gentle, downhill or rolling terrain oriented? it would be nice to have a quiver of boots, of course...
