I am one of the people who works in the information industry that the article makes fun of--I see the humor in that. But I am also of Scandinavian stock and I moved to Ballard seven years ago because I could get the food I grew up on and talk with other Danes. It also had the right density and so I was willing to drive farther in order to live in a community of single family homes. I am completely dismayed at how fast everything changed. I am utterly disgusted that new people moving in (and I used to be the new guy--a number of my neighbors have had their homes 30 years) say they want to be there b/c they like the feeling of the area but then go ahead and change everything by building condo after condo. I'm so saddened by it that I will always fight against the high-density thing (outside of city centers) however I can.

I am always amazed that men assume we women will give a shit what you think when we are older. Believe it or not, as women mature into full-membership individuals, we tend to care less and less what you men think about our appearance. So a tat gets blurry just as the rest of our edges get blurry--so what? If you can't find something better than that to measure a person's beauty by, then I honestly feel sorry for you.

Why the fuck would I care about what someone looks like when they are old and wrinkled? And by the time I am old and wrinkled, I plan to not give a shit about how anyone looks--tattoos or not.

This is not really an issue of child support. It is an issue of contracts. If your contract with a person states that they do not have to pay you in the future, then they do not have to pay you. Seems simple enough.
