    ethicist?

Does this sentence sound odd to anyone else? Emilio's mother, Catarina Gonzales, on the other hand, is fighting to keep her son on the ventilator, allowing him to die "naturally, the way God intended." http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/04/25/baby.emilio/index.html

    Ah, Nastasia
  3. As far as I have read, the NRA has declined to comment so far. Has this changed in the last two days?
  4. Sounds like more gun control isn't the issue so much as more information control. Why aren't these databases built correctly and linked? There seem to be so many stories about how information doesn't flow between different government institutions and the institutions that need the information from them: yet I don't hear much outcry about it.

I can't imagine why the number of posts a person has means anything--and using it as some strange justification for crappy posting is confounding to me. I guess over the last three years I have had a great time posting here and shooting the shit (yes, I use profanity--A lot of it) with folks who are witty, articulate, and fun. Some of my posts are rants, some are discussion, and some are worthless. Sometimes people appreciate them, sometimes they are offended by them, sometimes they are amused by them. Reading folks' responses to an idea, arguement, or joke is a great way to make a day in a cube go by a lot quicker and more enjoyably. And that is why I spray. I don't spray to harangue and harass one person over and over and over again. I don't feel any personal animosity toward anyone and I try to distribute shit evenly. I enjoy a good ribbing, comeback, or counterpoint. However, I am completely at a loss as to why anyone would bother with the constant harassing posts that our new friend here seems to enjoy. I just don't get it. And I don't understand why anyone would persist with that tactic when the majority of the other folks who post here have mentioned that it is time to move on and give it a rest. It is completely beyond me...

You may be right. But you also don't have every post you make followed up by an inane comment about your period, your life, your appearance, etc etc etc ad infinitum. It gets old after a while, trust me.

    It's creepy.
  8. That sucks. I am bummed to hear that they were dismissive of someone like that--especially since you know about bikes. It's really poor marketing to treat someone like that.
  9. Gee, that is a really good question. If they didn't say no, they could not have possibly been raped. Obviously, the guy knew this and is a criminal mastermind---which is why he duct taped their mouths. That way, they couldn't say no and therefore he could not have raped them. You know, now that I think about it, the article didn't mention what those girls were wearing....
  10. even more dangerous than posting in spray? I tell folks that my drive to work is the most dangerous thing I do each day. No shit, people are crazy. Yesterday, I saw an amazing wreck on I90. There were I-beams and brown goo everywhere. People were walking around in hazmat suits. I rolled up my window.
  11. I prefer stiff soled. The downside is that it feels like the shoe pulls on the tendons around my heel right below the ankle.
  12. bike some of the way and you carry me the rest of the way? I am starting small--riding around to do my errands and stuff. Frankly, Seattle drivers scare the shit out of me. And maybe its just the fear, but i seem to tire out riding on streets faster than on trails. Maybe b/c it's more sustained? Maybe b/c I been trying to ride my soft tail full suspension mtn bike on pavement? doh!
  13. the chickens have come home to roost
  14. As a matter of fact, I do top. but I like SmallShoes comment better.
  15. I miss Cobrrraaaaaaa too! And Squid!
  16. That is impressive! Sadly, I cannot even contemplate that distance on the street. I am weak. But someday....
  17. How refreshing to have the female gender used as a compliment rather than a put down. Right on!
  18. If I do the I90 trail, I'd have to take a bus from the start of the 18 line to downtown. That brings my total commute time to about two and a half hours. Ain't Seattle grand?
  19. I bought a low end hybrid Marin from Recycled Cycles with cheap Shimano components. Recycled Cycles was hetic and crazy, but they sure have a big selection!
  20. I think it's the eyelashes.
  21. but not as charming
  22. and smarter
  23. I love the word cumquat.
  24. because it's the last time she's going to?
