You're short too. The only difference is that you are also cute.

If I didn't believe that, I wouldn't have started this thread. But, I have a hard time with the observation that men don't seem to go through this same scrutiny.

She's already had three other kids. She's probably better at weighing those choices and chances than 80% us on this board.

ha ha I was only kidding. Roger's Corner is MY FAVORITE climb ever!! I do it over and over an over again. I love it. I can't get enough of it. Wow, it is yummy. And it doesn't feel like it has ow parts to me at all. It is a perfect fit. Can't wait til this weekend when I can dominate that lovely climb. even though it feels like it is not the right width for my body to cram itself into that corner. love it. fav. dude. You're short.

I do often hear the increased risk argument. The first problem I think of with that is my cousin, who had endometriosis pretty bad, had an increased risk of spontaneous abortion. She's young, married, otherwise heathy, and Mormon. Having a kid was paramount to her. Should other people have the power to say that she doesn't have the right to get preggos just b/c she has a higher risk of aborting than a 100% healthy woman? That doesn't seem right...

    Increased risk for what exactly?

  10. Heck, I can't believe how boring baseball is...
  11. Last month there was a sign up at skulls hollow about it possibly becoming a pay area. I don't know if that sign is always up as an encouragement to keep the place clean or if that is actually a possibility. I just thought I'd mention it in case someone plans on camping for free and ends up with a surprise.

And, I would think that the demands of bearing a child need to be weighed by any woman. And then, she gets to make that choice, not social standards.

Actually, the genetic goofs in a man's sperm rise in number as he ages.

very. My dad was forty when he had me--his first. That was a big deal back then, but I don't remember anyone asking him to defend his choice. And everybody knows that sixty is the new forty

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18841574/?GT1=9951#storyContinued I don't see too many articles that expect older men to "defend" their having children later in life. I don't understand the double standard on this one.

Didn't say that. 1. I don't like rogers corner, the width of some of the moves feels strange to me 2. I don't like ows.

  20. Well, ok. But it is the only Scramble book I've ever had. I'm trying here...
  21. That is a valid concern. The year I lived in WYS and made that drive back to my family in BZ on a fairly regular basis I passed the time counting the white crosses on the side of the road. There were 92 that year.
  22. There is a great book called 75 Scrambles in Washington.
  23. Immigration only works when the immigrants adopt the rules and the language of their new country. thats kinda what i was thinking, but then does that make me a racist? or a countryist? I was also thinking that i don't really give a shit what religion or culture they are talking about, but when people start violating other peoples human rights in a country where that is already on the law books as against the law... something is seriously messed up. yet If i do indeed voluntarily partake in alternative love practices... well thats my business. Agreed. My mother immigrated from Europe to this country when she was 18. She learned the language, follows the laws, picked up the customs, got an education, developed a career, you know, became american. It seems like if one doesn't want to do some of these basic things, then one wouldn't want to come here in the first place. Call me a simpleton, but I wouldn't want to move to an Islamic country that said I had to wear a burqa and was not allowed out of the house. I would want to move somewhere that already exhibits the values that I would like to have in my life. I don't think that makes you racist. I think people want to make it an issue of racism or intolerance b/c those are easy arguments to make and don't deal with the issue of integration/assimilation.

Gee, thanks! As if our take on a route wouldn't be subjective as well.

Hmmm, I just remember jugs and laybacks. Sometimes the approach one takes makes all the difference in the world. I try not to dislike a climb just because I lack a peculiar skill needed for it. Sometimes though we just don't have the right body type for a given climb. Hands too big, hands too small, too tall, too short, etc. Some climbs are just plain ugly though. Considering the subject of climbs with no holds... I find that climbs that in the past had no holds suddenly sprout jugs when I climb them again with better skills. It's miraculous, really. Well, I have only been climbing for eleven years, so maybe I just haven't learned to take the right approach yet.
