Ellensburg.

Since gyselinck is lazy heres a trip report. We hiked in saturday starting at about 5pm. The hike in took about 4 hours counting craig going back to the car for the camera as I carried on with both our packs and Lyger watched and laughed. The end of the hike was in the dark but luckily there was a full moon. The next morning we began the walk to the wall at about 8. It about two hours for the three us to get up the first chimney pitch. The climbing above the chimney was easier(5.0-5.8)and took us generally up and right finishing just right of what we called the upper shield. We got back to the lake at about 5. The hike out took about 2 1/2 hours.

As of now it appears no crampons would be needed

Maybe an ellensburg to new mexico road trip is in the future?

Im trying to decide what boot or boots to waste the rest of my money on and was curious as to if others would use the nepals on Mckinley along with overboots?

I was flying over ellensburg today and from what I could see the stuart range had little snow. But I was unable to see the upper 1/3 of mt stuart

I think CWU was well represented at the leavenworth rope up. Even though we may have embarrased are selves a little bit. Thank you Sobo for checking on me in the night, its much appreciated.

i will be back in ellensburg on monday. But all i am going to do is study so i dont think i want to climb

i busted out the aiders to get myself into the chimney and it was still hard after that draggin myself up it with all that gear

parked at snowcreek parking lot to hike up to the pearly gates and found a hot hot porno on a rock. To get it back PM L0ngpause. She borrowed it for the night.

i heard there are fish in the pond at the bottom of the ice that will nibble on your rope if you let it sag into the water

I bought a used pair off here and im happy with them and saved a lot of money. Definatelly find something with a bent shaft.

PM Jesse at UW climber. I went there with him in december but slept while he drove. There is no distinctive TH. We had to make our own path to get to the base and the road numbers they give you in the becky book are wrong.
