  1. Where do I get in line to sign up? Oh but don't ask what's in the green bag, and for sure don't look the tatooed guy in the eyes when he comes to get it.
  2. My old-style Werner fits that description. 'Cept I lost it somewhere in Rica Canyon last fall. I'll sell you my Pyranha Prozone 225 cm, say, $350?
  3. There it is! I was pretty sure someone would have already posted this... Guess I didn't look hard enough.

  5. well I'm a 12-year-old girl, but I thought if I told the truth I'd get too many offers to "go climbing"...
  6. F#$k you man, where I come from, it's hard, and you either climb, or you die. You West Coast pussies couldn't even begin to understand. I don't expect you understand my climbing, you f-ing Lexus SUV-driving overeducated trust fund yuppy!!
  7. Oh, the sweet addiction, the violent withdrawal. Poor man, do not go, for here your roots bear the harshness of The Earth and drink from its clear waters. :bearded smiley: The discerning surfist can tell the difference between the bullshit and the useful. For example I just went climbing with a guy just because he happened to post here on cc.com, and it was fun, and it was a Thursday... where else am I gonna find unemployed climbers like myself?
  8. How did you approach? From the picture it looks like you could climb the couloir proper (from rockband) in an hour give or take. How was the snow?
  9. Quiet you, before I bash your head in with a doodoo-filled chalkbag!!
  10. dangit Paul, you mess with my program!!
  11. Being tied up with family for extended periods makes a climber desperate. I'd been scoping this chimney problem for several years on various visits to the family beach house. Countless opportunities presented themselves but each time my hands involuntarily assumed crimping position, and my stomach muscles clentched in anticipation of another sickening sloper, my ambition was struck down by fear, and threats from various family members. They were just holding me back, stifling the climber spirit inside of me. Finally, after huddling in a corner for hours on end in horror, wishing to cut off these vicious hands possessed by such insatiable bouldering hunger, and reading aloud several of the self-involved bitch-fest monologues of Twight, I gathered the courage to fight back against the demons, to attack the only thing standing between present boredom and future boredom. And so it happened. The sit-start, right off the grass mocking me like little green hypodermic needles. The sideways body lever, the outwardly silent while inwardly deafening primal scream. The highball verging on freesolo as I stared down dizzily at the sea of green far below, embracing my need to fall pathetically back down to The Earth. The final dyno lunge to the pinnacle, and I gazed around at the secret treasures of the High Places. I had conquered yet another boulder problem, and it had conquered me, my hopes to die a gruesome death at the hands of the ultimate mother, shattered in Twight-like despair. Such is the glory and aguish of the boulder no, the boredomer.
  12. Well that only applies in Texas, cuz Texans are just tougher and can handle impacting the ground at 30 mph.
  13. Yeah that's the one! Cool, it's looking good. Is that a humanoid in the couloir?
  14. Splitboard mountaineering There's a good chance of a splitboard assault on the Coleman-Deming this weekend...
  15. Let's see em again! I can't wait to try out some of dem boulder probs so Distel can me. We gotta start out on some V1 or something so I can at least actually send one.
  16. uh, you said something about a printscreen to prove it?
  17. I estimate steep, to "Oh. My. Gawd." But is it still in?
  18. I think we are all talking about the unmistakeable dope-ass big steep couloir that nobody can resist drooling over should their craven eyes be lucky enough to fall upon it
  19. Is that a freakin ladder? Thanks for reminding me that I want my first Rainier climb to be on a route other than the DC. edit: by the way, nice photo anyhow
  20. Yep realized that. You mean that's not what he actually looks like? Man and I was even starting to feel sorry for him
