I've done that little Boulder Lakes to Appleton Pass traverse. Very nice country.

It would be great if people can bring food to share, potluck style. I'm working on getting some beer...can anyone in PDX help me negotiate getting a TG IPA keg or two? Jon is going to donate some money from CC.com coffers to help pay for it, but we don't know exactly how much yet...and the group campsite payment will need to come out of that money too. So hopefully there will be plenty of beer...I'll update here once its figgered out. If you want to donate money...give it to Minx or me, and we will put it toward more beer. Yes, bring your own tent. If you have a dining canopy, if you could bring it would be great in case it rains. Minx reserved the group campsite...I don't know if there is a covered area there.

Great pictures Mountaingirl...but those are of Pennant Peak and the Flagpole. The Nightmare Needles are to the east of these peaks. But again...great pictures.

I also have a little bit of video scoping out the Needles at home. Cool looking stack of rocks over there. Excellent trundling possiblities.

I'm gonna go get the first ascent on that thing. Keep it a secret though, I don't want anyone scooping me on my proj.
