  1. I thought there were going to pictures with this thread. Seeking Lumberjacks to cut wood.
  2. wow this is EPIC. awesome Eric, thanks for another all time TR!
  3. Exploding stove! Thanks for the TR! Gotta love the character builders.
  4. One time my scout troop (RIP Troop 1861 Quilcene) camped out somewhere near the base of Rainier in winter (idk where). We quickly found a super hazardous sled run and tubes were found somewhere. I think it resulted in 2 teeth lost and one punctured lip, but it was a great time with that group of hell raisers. Pretty sure almost half the troop ended up in prison at some point later on, or at last it seemed like it. Kids these days are deprived! Get off my lawn.
  5. The biggest crime remains no sledding or tubing in the park. At all. What a bunch of BS.
  6. Man this must have been hard to put down in writing. Love to you, your family, and Ian.
  7. You’re teaching the youth to feed his rat! Great photos as always. Thank you Jason.
  8. Probably comes down to how much you value quantity over quality or vice versa.
  9. No worries dude!
  10. stopped by and checked out the new location today, very nice. Good to see Jason and Tom, and the guy working the counter I’m embarrassed but I can’t remember your name but you too were also nice to run into. Thanks for your time! dont forget American Alpine Institute is keeping this place going with their sponsorship. If you or someone you know wants a guide or even just to learn or brush on on skills, give AAI a call.
  11. Reading this book, and chapter 3 is great. I highly recommend. Great advice for ensnaring a climbing partner too for an adventure.
  12. My parents have a couple of those ones with the rubber. in all seriousness, that is a terrible story.
  13. Damn.
  14. You know he looked pretty familiar! But there were a number of people I met but forgot because it was Ropeup and we were all having a good time.
  15. https://www.climbing.com/people/remembering-johnny-goicoechea/ I don’t think I ever met this guy, maybe some of you did…
  16. Glad to hear about the boners.
  17. Aside from just the history and information on this site. I’ve worked to keep this site on because it is not driven by algorithms you mention. This is a community for people to connect over a common interest, and refuge from the mind-control apparatus that social media has become. No AI, or at least we try to clean it…you never know these days. This place is an alternative to all that in my eyes. Hopefully we can keep it that way. We need some whippersnappers who understand all this and can take the reins someday. as for spray I’ve had a lot of fun here. There have been some really funny people come through here. It hadn’t been all good, but what you’d expect for a free for all. I miss some (most)of the people, others not so much. In the battle for attention this site will lose against the current psych-ops enterprises. But who knows what the future holds or which way the wind will blow next. get off my lawn.
  18. Maybe just go do stuff without training. Then the injuries are easier to talk about at cocktail parties.
  19. You’ve been getting after it, as I see from Strava!
  20. Yeah I think it might even been around when I had the last ropeup. I seem to remember that he was talking about it being the last time he could give us beer. that is a beautiful area out there I drove through and camped in the Wallowas a few years ago. Check out this video:
  21. Fuck cancer. I still have one of those kegs he got me for ropeup. It was going to be a PITA to return so he just told me to keep it. Unfortunately there is no beer in it.
  22. Rage on keyboard warrior. 😅
  23. I tried to get to it too @eeelip but those links don't resolve for me in any browser. I wonder its because you're logged in? I also just tried searching for it on the alltrails website and it doesn't even come up.
