  4. Looks like Hillary might head out of Super Tuesday with the lead. I've heard the conservative pundits salivating over the prospect of her proposed mandatory paycheck deduction for healthcare. Nobody likes to be forced, you've got to couch it as a choice somehow.
  5. will be an interesting night for the democrats. california is going to be the deal breaker if there is one.
  6. Clinton un-wins OK...
  7. yes. you can see the rock here in the trees to the right of the dam
  8. man i need to get outside. this broken leg thing has been a bummer.
  9. Indeed I've gone out there a couple time and it was too wet to climb most of the routes (again, there really aren't that many there). But I enjoy the spot, access will be more interesting when/if they finally get around to removing that dam.
  10. I was climbing out there one time and didn't notice it was raining till we left the wall overhang (it wasn't pouring, but still...). I'm not sure when I'm headed out there next.
  11. Interesting bit about McCain: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural-born_citizen
  12. just check the Port Angeles forecast, its just outside of town (edit: west of town). looks to be in the high 30s to low 40s.
  13. I wouldn't call it "lame"...it is what it is. Its not the best rock, but good for the Olympics. Its overhanging, so you'll be able to find some dry routes. There isn't a lot there, but you can definitely get your climbing fix on. I've climbed there in every season, but not as a destination, but as it was the nearest climbing when out visiting family that is sprinkled across Jeff. and Clallam counties. Definitely not a destination, but a nice little side trip in a unique area.
  14. it is the year of RAT. rat will come out of his cage this year.

    Super Tuesday

Another boring, important, non-climbing topic. When will it end.
  16. ITZ A BATTLE, WHO CAN BE MORE OUTRAGEOUS!
  17. The rude dude gots 'tude. Listen, you just committed a couple of fouls: 1. You changed the verb "climbed" to "hiked" in my quote. 2. You trivialized a mighty NW mountain that is sacred to many mountaineering legends. 3. You insulted Big Lou (see #2). 4. You trivialized a mountain you've never climbed. 5. Through these actions (1-4) you've just thumbed your nose at a friendly invitation. This is very disappointing. I was ready smoke the peace pipe with you, maybe introduce you to Big Lou, maybe even introduce you to ......Dwayner. But you blew it. More than likely. Is he the guy with whom I saw you climbing Batskins? No kidding Peter. I'm in on this expedition, and would like to be a part of the summit team. I'm not saying I will be, I would like to be. It would be an honor to hold such company, and there are worse places to spend an afternoon.
  18. wait a minute...i figured out what doesn't jive in this thread...you have a friend peter???????

  21. Well Peter, first I object to the harsh language you used in the title of this thread. Second, I think we should pay your friend a visit instead. We can rock climb on the various city ramparts and defenses in the Tuscan region in the sun and of course sample the fine cuisine and wine.
  22. Indeed, I stumbled across his site many times in searching for info when fixing my bikes over the years. http://www.sheldonbrown.com/ Hopefully someone will continue to host his information, he'll be missed.
  23. hopefully they can figure out how to sign bedard to a longer contract if they get him
