There is a currently a quiet but deadly emo uprising going on down in Mexico in case you haven't noticed. In the news here in the US it is becoming clear that emo is responsible for most of what is wrong with our kids.

well Jay, while you were a wall flower in that time frame some of us bought houses and did pretty well. when i bought my house i thought it was overpriced, but was a bargain given the market. now i'm astounded with what my house is "valued" at. heck, even the property+building taxes have far exceeded the value that we paid for the house. but fortunately for you i don't frequent these East coast social dinner circles you mention, or else you'd have to hear me go on and on about my squalid little hovel whilst sipping the chardonnay and eating all the mini-hotdogs. I actually DO feel like I'm glad I bought when I did, or else I WOULD feel priced out of the Seattle housing market. Its going to have to correct quite a bit more actually before it is back to a level where I think a home is a relative value as compared to what I paid way back in 2002 (or was it 03, I can't remember now).

Hey Jay, someone bought that house next door and moved in!

Indeed...well then it was only Firefox that could deal with that issue. Thanks for letting us know...I didn't notice it right off as Firefox is my primary browser.

Integral Designs sent Cascadclimbers.com a new bivy sack they just started producing called the Penguin Reflexion. We take an initial look at it here in the first entry of the CascadeClimbers.com Gear Showcase. Integral Designs was nice enough to donate the bivy sack they sent us to Seattle Mountain Rescue! Hopefully you won't be trying out that particular sack , but in the Seattle area your local Integral Designs dealer is Pro Mountain Sports and you can order one there if you are interested. Thanks to Evan at ID for donating the bivy to a cause near and dear to all Cascadeclimbers! http://cascadeclimbers.com/showcase/reflexion

Sorry, I was conducting psychological experiments. Were both of you using the Safari browser?

another sign of Feather Friends awesomeness is that they sponsor Cascadeclimbers.com! that and they are giving Colin a place to show his slides.

i'm pretty much trying to keep the "jack of all trades, master of none" tradition going on in my family you gotta love those hobbies that require you drop at least 1-2 grand to get your foot in the door.

my wife's parents (down in Chehalis) hosted an exchange student who went on to become a singer in that band

But I appreciate your thoughts about perspective. recovery with my leg has taken longer than usual but thats just an excuse isn't it? btw, those cams are seeing use this weekend or I'd have my write up online (i need them for pics)!

That, by far, is the best example of unnecessary corporate welfare. Go Sonics! And take the Mariners with you! and what about the Seahawks? They just locked up Lofa http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/football/355971_hawk22.html

wow....i'm thinking about the Press Expedition into the Olympics Mtns. Towards the end of their epic they kill a bear and eat the fat. I've never been that hard up, but I then my son would eat butter by the cube if I let him.

You never loved me that way Porter you just don't rub me the right way like KKKK does, hugh.

taught my son to ride his bike without training wheels at Lincoln Park today!

first of all, you're not my buddy. this is my house. this is my site. i'm an administrator and owner (along with timmy and jon). i'm not going to do that (put you on ignore). nor would i censor or any way fuck with your ability to be here and post whatever you want in spray anymore than anyone else here. but this is where i'm coming from. i'm sorry for calling you an asshole. i think there are quite a few people here walking around very opinionated...and they aren't ever wrong either. i strive to avoid insulting anyone here, and clearly i stepped over my own bound. for whatever reason you and i have clashed. i don't attribute it to your politics, but to your personality online. in general, who you are online i have found to be very different than who you might be in person. i'll admit that i don't like your online persona that much, but i'm a person who trys adapts and adjusts when it makes sense, so i'm not writing you off. i just don't care with how you have (to this point) expressed yourself online. i am glad that you have found a home on cc.com. i know this place is pretty special to me. i hope you continue to post here and it helps you pass the day and think and get inspired about climbing. i just wish you capable of expressing yourself in a way that doesn't end up with your trademark request for someone to lick your ballsack. Or maybe it isn't your ballsack? Someone elses? I don't know, but I know you don't like to be defined. In the end this isn't about anyone else, but about my personal dislike of your online persona (not who your are as a person, etc). Like I said, if you must, carry on. I just find that you make spray a place I'd rather not spend time in. You're not the only person who does this, but for some reason your persona has has clashed with my own. Perhaps people here like you. I'm not speaking for them and this isn't a popularity contest. I just (both as a user of the site an administrator owner) wish for something else than the exchange of insults that result from most threads i've seen you as a main contributer to. so if you would like to talk about this further lets get together for a beer or whatever and talk it out in person.

i'm sorry. i'll try to think of good reasons for doing it next time. but i was referring to slinging shit, not flipping it. but i do recognize that most people won't differentiate, so i'll try to work on that.
