  1. So the story tells us that Teabaggers implore other Teabaggers over the Facebook to go see the movie, with the idea that tickets sales for Atlas Shrugged will equate to an embraceable validation of Randian "principles" in the national dialogue. Yet their fellow Teabaggers don't follow up, which is understandable: They don't generally have the money to spend on movie tickets, because the purchase of cigarettes, beer, and a modest contribution to the Heritage Foundation is all that can be covered by the diminutive level of discretionary spending afforded by a welfare check.

  5. Good point. When taxes on the rich are cut, GDP is stifled, as evidenced by a maintained ratio of taxes to GDP. Therefore, we should increase taxes on the rich to pre-Reagan levels in order to stimulate GDP, increase total revenue, and pay down the deficit.

  21. So let me see if I understand this correctly: If the Republicans take the White House, the best we can hope for is they will finally have enough rope to hang themselves. But if Obama keeps the White House, he'll be hanging the clown punchers because they'll vote Democratic anyway.

  24. Dirt-bagging through a recent couple years of college, life on a bicycle had me buying bread and beans at the Grocery Outlet most days. Premium whole wheat, 99 cents per loaf. Black beans, 59 cents per can. Added to that, purchased wherever, fresh produce and non-fat milk, and a few dollars a day kept the bicycle engine fueled to be faster than most. It was a good time, outdoors a lot, and I graduated for an RN license without any debts. Grocery Outlet/Aurora
