I have no compassion for those trying to convert or intimidate others into worshipping their invisible man. Good for them if they've found the meaning to their life, but leave me out of it. I don't need their (the missionaries' or the chruch's) help in figuring things out for myself. In the worlds of the immortal George Carlin, "Keep thy religion to thyself."

At least it lets the whole community know which girls put out.

It is a common joke amond me and my friends that the following types of drivers are the worst, in order: women, old people, asians. The absolute worst driver I've ever seen was -- you guessed it -- an old asian woman. She did a U-turn across 7 lanes of rush hour traffic without even a thought of brakes, blinkers or mirrors.

My god. Can you imagine the first time that happened? "Was...that...a...FLY?!" I'd probably run from the bathroom screaming like a little girl. Or just pass out.

Exactly. I get out as much as I can, usually road trips around the country and/or continent. I have trips scheduled this year for Banff, Monument Valley and the Tetons. On my radar for the next few years are Alaska, New Zealand and Norway. Sucks I have to work to afford travelling.

I've been to Canada a few times, that's about it. I'm spending most of my free time checking out my home country still.

JGowans has as much right to bitch about our President as people here have to bitch about Chirac and Schroeder. Plus, I've found many foreigners living in this country to be as knowledgable on politics as most American citizens, if not more so. The most informed politico I know is from West Africa.

For all the non-believers out there, I say thank you! If I have one more Baptist, Mormon or Four Square try to convert me, I'm going to kill someone. I swear. Discussion = good. Conversion = bad.

That seems to be the norm for gun owners from my experience, so the 1-per-capita statistic isn't surprising. I'd be more interested in the percentage of households with guns. Any of you gun-toters have that data on-hand?

Very true. I'm just amazed at the sheer unabashed powergrab of the federal government in the name of security in the last 2 years, from the political party that's supposed to be against big government no less. Just goes to show anyone can get drunk with their own power. I just hope the pendulum swings back this way sometime in the near future.
