You need to work on your German there, Beck. I think what you're trying to say would translate as: Moechten sie mit mir Wandeln? Much more polite, and grammatically correct. Still, there's nothing about mountains in that phrase. "Wandeln" means to walk, but has a 'strolling' connotation. You 'wandel' on a Sunday afternoon through a pretty field of flowers. You wouldn't 'wandel' through the Pickets. Remember, Glacierdog, many Germans have some grasp of English.

Just for the sake of argument, force is not energy. Energy is not force. We don't know what force is, all we know is that it accelerates objects.We don't know what energy is either. However, we can differentiate between the two. The climber does work, that is, force times distance on the screamer. That absorbs energy. But saying that force is energy is also meaningless.

This is really basic. As the climber climbs, he gains potential energy. When he falls, that potential energy goes into kinetic energy. That kinetic energy is transferred to the rope (into heat), the belayer (kinetic), and in this case, the screamer. (kinetic). When the climber stops (hopefully), he has no kinetic energy and lower potential energy than when he started falling. So all energy is conserved. Duh.
