this is one of the dumbest threads i've read in awhile. i find myself agreeing with fairweather and off_white. what you're saying is that either a) if made yourself more interesting, people wouldn't get married or b) people who get married are somehow losing out on the precious gift of your friendship. sounds like an ego problem. sure, none of us like it when friends move on but, hey, maybe this isn't about you.

The other thing is, he bitches about education in this country and how he can't get enough good programmers. The layers of irony there are just overwhelming. I wonder if, all of a sudden, he had a huge pool of qualified applicants, would he continue outsourcing? Hmmm.... Turns out all my base at work are belong to someone else next week. Haven't been to Squish at all this summer and the weather is looking sweet. Would like to go until, say, Thursday? Days after Microsoft Corp. launched a new anti-piracy program, hackers have found a way to get around it. The software company's new program, called Windows Genuine Advantage, requires computer users to go through a process validating that they're running a legitimate copy of the Windows operating system before downloading any software updates except for security patches. But the check can be bypassed by entering a simple JavaScript command in the Web browser's address bar and hitting the "Enter" key. When that's done, the validation does not run and the user is taken directly to the download.

go to grocery stores and ask for their apple boxes. much sturdier than most things and huge volume. you might have to ask them to hold them for you though since they don't have them all the time and they tend to cut them up otherwise.
