  1. My first act of motivation is to begin posting on this rag again.
  2. I'm with the motivated folk...almost. I swear I'll get motivated after New Years.
  3. I believe we have a modern day Zeno!
  4. First off a couple of brass balls should be clipped on the double sling rack. Something to kill all that time when belaying. I have a triple rack of all cams, offset aliens are awesome for flaring pin scars, aliens in general rule. Offset brassies are key as well. Get a really good quality wall hauler, the cheaper pulleys will sap your energy faster than anything else. I don't do much non-clean aiding, so i'm not much help with nails etc. Good luck, have you done any walls yet? It's way more work than you could imagine! Rewarding though!
  5. All this talk of pounding iron into alpine rock. Which blades to bring, is the route in condition, spindrift, etc. It makes me remember why I'm now so soft and enjoy cragging and bouldering so much.
  6. I can't believe I almost forgot this one. Three of us were up at Squamish this summer and were space-cruising through the south part of town looking for the brewery. Soon we found ourselves driving by a very crowded Casino named "Wild Cherry" WTF? When the hell did they get this casino? It was the lighting crew and gaffers that tipped us off that it was a movie set. We pulled over and watched a few scenes being shot outside with The Rock and Johnny Knoxville. It was enough for some small talk over the beers that night.
  7. I once road a plane with Garrison Kielor on it
  8. i got a really nice advance copy of the NEW SMITH ROCK GUIDE from him earlier this year You sadistic person. You must really hurt inside
  9. What about Caboose at the now defunct Lower Malamute ? That was solid 10b no? Holy pump!
  10. Who's done Watt's Totts? I got shut down at the crux. Perhaps cause I got worked up about cruxing with my feet above the bolt
  11. That's not sandbagged! It is one or two 10 moves at the begininng then .8-9 to the top. Titanic in Squamish, hardest v3 ever!! Quasar at Smith Only if you aren't a crack climber though. Darth Maul at 11worth is at least one graded harder than stated. I thought Titanic was not bad at all. Just a sharp move and a jug no? Perhaps my height helped. I will say the start to Wedding Day seems stiff for 10b.
  12. Perhaps Bird will put them in their place
  13. I like, but shouldn't you be studying?
  14. Scott, this is so true. I've seen many people bite the big one at Smith while hang-dogging projects. It's all smiles and beta spraying until the poor bastard turns south. You usually find out when the belayer gets sick of holding the climber's weight and asks them to clip into a bolt. Didn't that happen to Scott Franklin?
  15. And a damn fine one! The past 3 times I've headed up to Squamish the campsite has been maxed out. Damn boulderers!
  16. I can tell the guy in the white shirt for you...cause that's Bird. Bird, at least I'm crankin' the mean lay back! You just pouted and ate cheese whiz.
  17. OK, over two months later and no new book! This is the biggest troll ever!
  18. In the film No Strings Attached you can gape in awe as Brian Goldstone pulls off a huge block and nearly kills Scott Milton who's spotting him Take that all you alpine elitists!
  19. It's one of the best chunks of rock on Earth. Right up there with Cookie Cliff. I still need to redpoint Clean Crack!
  20. This was witnessed by yours truly as the leader neared the chains: Leader: "Watch me!" Belay: "Off belay!"
  21. My friend from Vancouver who is in Ski Industry management says that the train going by Squamish will not continue because sections of it will be paved over for road expansion for the Olympics. Has anyone else heard of this? Will this negate any closure issues?????
  22. Nei det er ikke va vi snakker om.
  23. The ones right by REI? I remember some there back about 6 years ago.
